On Subliminal Seduction (emphasis added):
...Honestly, I find all the tropes (and creator complaints) about people misunderstanding the meaning of songs a little farcical given that the average person can't even understand the WORDS in the first place.
From Exotic Equipment:
- Dar of Mission to Zyxx has genitals that are reconfigurable to best pleasure any given partner; they also make a hobby of jucking a member of every species they meet.
"Jucking" is either a typo of "fucking" or a very on-the-nose example of Pardon My Klingon. I can't figure out which.
How the quote on Fun with Alphabet Soup is attributed to “Random Guy”.
On Donkey Kong '94:
I was scrolling down WMG.The Owl House Season Three today, and found the following potential conversation:
Luz: You know, maybe I shouldn't have taken advice from the cartoons that end with the all-powerful godlike being becoming a good guy.
Call me crazy, but I think I know which cartoon the entry is jabbing (at least when you read the entire entry).note

Nice. XD
On Christmas Tropes:
I was not expecting them to mention something that specific.
I remember back when Body Horror had a real life subpage, there was an example about flesh-eating insects that ended with a single-word sentence: "Yum."
Eldritch Abomination also once had a real life subpage, and in its final days, it had a disclaimer saying "No listings of individual people, no matter how unattractive you may find them" (or something like that; I don't remember the exact wording and I'm too lazy to dig through the Wayback Machine to double-check).
Other than that, the page was just a list of unusual-looking organisms due to the trope being impossible in real life, though those examples (or similar ones, at least) later found a home on the page for Our Monsters Are Weird before it was also made NRLEP because it's also impossible in real life.

I got a rock for Halloween.YMMV.The New Order Last Days Of Europe:
- Any path or country to play that makes its players feel increasingly horrified, depressed and gut-punched are consistently referred to as Cursed, with degrees of Cursed-ness being compared between different choices. If playing it makes you despise yourself, you know you've found a Cursed path.
- Similarly, countries or paths that make players feel better for pursuing them and are more heroic in nature are described as Blessed.
- Countries, leaders, and paths that players consider badass and uncompromising, regardless of actual morality, are referred to as Based. Those that are perceived to be less exciting, repulsive, or weak are described as Cringe.
Goodbye, "Good", "Evil", "Lawful", and "Chaotic" - I've found a much better system of Character Alignment. From now on I expect D&D along with everyone else to just use this system instead. The Great Character Alignment Debate is hereby OVER!
JustForFun.How To Be An Anti HeroThe start of Obnoxious Entitled Housewife (aka, The Karen) is "She'd like to speak to your manager." Followed by a note sticky for if you really want to speak to TVT's manager and a link to the site's contact form.
The damned queen and the relentless knight.Just found out we have a whole page about a single, seemingly simple roleplay game(?) on FANDOM. And if the tropes themselves is anything to go by, it's a lot crazier than the title implies.

Prior to Bishōnen being removed from its page because it was considered fanspeak, SelfDemonstrating.Mewtwo references Tumblr sexymen, which is still insane to me.
- Bishōnen: Some female humans find my looks appealing, despite my thin waist and large hips. This is especially true with my first movie, where my chest resembles an attractive human male's more closely, and my telepathic voice has a "British" accent. I have seen some of you insultingly describe me, in your terms, as a "Tumblr sexyman". My highly developed nerves shudder at the thought.
This entry from Black Hawk Down first makes me go "aww" then "lol":
- Headbutt of Love: Non-romantic example. At the end of the movie, two Rangers who have just returned safely to their base do this as a sort of manly, utterly exhausted alternative to a hug. In real life, when done with helmets on, this is known as "Turtle Fucking".
The fact it links to And Knowing Is Half the Battle is the cherry on top for me XD.
Just a simple man, making my way through the Tropes.Today I discovered TV Tropes Café. Very fun stuff.
In theory, if I can think of a clever recipe to list a trope that isn't there yet, I can add it, right?
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311I love this entry I wrote for the Weird World, Weird Food
draft because it reads like I'm describing a Salvador Dali painting or a fever dream:
