So, as a counterpoint to the other thread, this is where we talk about entries that we find incredibly amusing and intelligent. To start us out, I present the entirety of Real Life, which had me cracking up when I first read it.

One of my favorite things about the Grand Unified Timeline is that settings and events with very different tones are placed right next to each other. For example, from GrandUnifiedTimeline. The World Wars (in the "1940 C.E. - 1945 C.E." folder):

  • December 25:
    • Santa Claus makes his delivery with just six reindeer and a drunken elf. The elf falls out over Lake Geneva and is never seen again. (Arthur Christmas)
    • Moscow falls to the Germans. SS forces hoist the Nazi swastika over the Kremlin. (The New Order: Last Days of Europe)

I like imagining these events happening in the same universe. Picture a 40s radio news anchor saying something like, "BREAKING NEWS - Santa Claus lost an elf on his flight tonight! On an unrelated note, Moscow was conquered by the Nazis recently, paving the way for the future to be dominated by fascism. I hope that doesn't get in Santa's way."

[up][up] I think we use it for whatever doesn't fit cleanly in Western animation (the Americas and the Anglosphere) or Anime/Manga (Japan). So basically Eastern European, non-Japanese Asian, and African works.

Wrong thread somehow. That's funny in itself.

I love the real life examples of frivolous lawsuit, especially the example on John Lee Riches, even if it might be fake

Bruce Almighty has a very in-depth Running Gag of several permutations of "God, as played by Morgan Freeman, is not actually God."

The legend has returned.

Just the mere existence of TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Vocabulary made me laugh, because it's entirely true.

For example, I've developed a bit of an odd Verbal Tic where whenever something grosses me out, I mutter "Squick" to myself.

I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.

The really quick and short terms like "narm," "squick," and "woobie" are so easy to incorporate into everyday vocabulary.

[up] To be fair, I've seen a lot of people use those outside of TV Tropes. I think almost everyone on the internet understands what they mean at this point.

Tbh I never really hated his minigames in the original, but they did make them better in the remake.

I still find it a bit jarring when I see the names of tropes on here get casually used outside of the wiki, especially if they don’t make sense if you’re not familiar with TV Tropes.

The image for Uncoffee because I'd definitely think its fake if I hadn't watched the show it comes from.

[up][up] I didn't know that was a trope. My first thought when I saw it was that it was about decaf coffee.

I found a weird thing from the Christmas chronicles ymmv page

They Copied It, Now It Sucks: Many viewers noted suspicious similarities between the scene of Santa and Belsnickel fighting over the star in the second film and that of Rey and Kylo Ren having a Force tug-of-war over the Skywalker lightsaber in The Last Jedi, especially since both scenes end identically (the object in the tug-of-war splits apart).

YMMV page for Infinity Train, under Fandom Rivalry:

It briefly had one with Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go due to the negative reception of the latter, plus it was announced to be airing on Cartoon Network around the time Infinity Train was canceled and since both shows involve trains, people believed that Infinity Train had been canceled in favor of All Engines Go!.
I don't remember this being a thing at all, but the thought of someone blaming Thomas the Tank Engine for getting the show cancelled kinda amuses me.

Sounds made up or something that happened solely within the Troper's inner circles. I feel like somebody should just start a massive clean up page for Fandom Rivalry.

I'd say 20% of Fandom Rivalry and Dueling Works consist of entries that make sense, like Star Wars vs. Star Trek or Mario vs. Sonic. Then you have the other 80% that are combinations and comparisons you would have never thought of in your life.
