...So you've chosen a premise that you want to deconstruct, and now you're looking for flaws to find in it which you can carry through to their logical conclusions? That seems slightly the wrong order to do things in.

As mentioned... the Dresden Files is already pretty much a deconstruction. You'll be hard pressed to pull this one off and make it enjoyable or effective instead of being nit-picky. Try instead using it for inspiration, but doing it in a different manner, perhaps touching on tropes or ideas that the Dresden Files doesn't. Take a look at other urban fantasies to get some ideas in regards to this - World of Darkness books are great in this regard.

I'm planing to write a story that deconstructs the Dresden Files (the books). The the only ones I can think of the White council's no kill rule. The real reason is to prevent a wizard rebellion against the white council. The Wardens are just glorified bully-boys who only protect the status quo. While the council secretly rules the G 20 nations. It also suppresses knowledge which is not a good thing (even to prevent disaster). any more you can think of?
