A deserted city, streets empty of everything, buildings made of flat metal. Have the main character wandering the streets. The projections of her fears taking the indistinct forms of wraiths, until she comes to understand what is being signified.

Feminist in the streets, sex slave in the sheetsFear could be something that consumes her, like a dragon that literally swallows her, or a boa constrictor that wraps around her, getting heavier and heavier until she's forced to either confront it or be crushed.
I've returned from the depths to continue politely irritating the good people of Tv Tropes.(◕‿◕✿)
Actually, that's more like the second "demon" - Loathing.
It represents her self-hate, and as such appears as a massive, grotesquely obese gonk version of her real self that lives on the other side of her mirror.
She tries to get rid of it by smashing every mirror in the room it appears in and trapping it on the other side of a locked portal, but Loathing simply rips it open and eats her, forcing her to figure out how to use her powers to messily deconstruct it from the inside.
But I digress.
Back to fear, I suppose.

Novel progress: The Adroan, 110k; Yume no Hime, 98k; The Pigeon Witch, on pause at 40k.

As You Know, in my Script Frenzy project, the protagonist enters a Dream World where she has to fight the Anthropomorphic Personifications of her own demons.
The first one she runs into is Fear - which represents her social anxiety and distrust of people.
Now how do I represent that?
Here's what I have so far:
I'm imagining a Hive Mind (that speaks in unison) made of people she knows IRL who suddenly start insulting and attacking her with Improvised Weapons with no reason given.
I still have no idea:
Any other suggestions would be good, too.
