Well, gotta give them credit where it's due, they are picking antagonists we have not seen that much in movies.

A Penguin between 20 and 40, huh? It's weird to me seeing The Penguin being betrayed by someone young. I do remember Josh Gad making tweets wanting to be the Penguin.

I can see Josh Gad as the Penguin and Nicholas Hoult as the Riddler.

I generally prefer Penguin to be significantly older (or at least more grizzled in appearance) than Batman but I imagine Gad can do a good job.

I’m just glad we’re getting Riddler after the Snyder era. Snyder, Goyer and the gang are exactly the kind of people who would fail to get the character.

Man, the DCEU really turned itself around when The Flash came out last year. Remember how amazing that film was?

That cameo of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Darkseid sure was unexpected but awesome.

So, think at least GLC is still on the table? Because Cyborg feels pretty impossible at this point.

I feel like they'll focus on smaller-budget films for a while. Shazam didn't make that much money (360M$ on a 100M budget), but it was still profitable and had good reviews, so these kinds of flicks aren't too much of a risk for WB.

edit: Although WW84 and The Trench probably won't be cheap now that I think of it…

Sounds like Two-Face and Mad Hatter will also be in the Batman film.

Green Lantern Corps currently has a writer, at least, so maybe. Cyborg has had absolutely zero movement since 2014. That was never coming out, lol.

Is Goyer still attached to Green Lantern Corps? I'd be surprised if they continued to have him.

I don't think so. Last report was that Geoff Johns had been hired to do a complete rewrite.

Ironically Cyborg is one of the only movies there that remotely interested me, if only to see how they'd manage to make something interesting out of such a generic name and concept.

I'm in the (probably) minority that considered Cyborg one of the more interesting parts of JL, so yeah.

I don't know if he was that interesting, but he was the only member of the League not rendered entirely redundant by Superman so that was... something.

By the end of the movie I was just thinking "okay, so no one else matters. The League could be Supes and Cyborg and we're good."

WB has picked up JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Studios for 500 million.

There's a lot of speculation WB wants Abrams to helm a DCEU movie. He's pretty tight with Matt Reeves.
