Meanwhile at one of the police stations in Grandos, an officer called Rachel was knee deep in paper work and giving quite a stressed expression because of it. Of course she would like to go out into the city and give out an arrest, but these sheets were as vital to the city's law enforcement as field work.
Nearby, a constable was walking to Rachel, quivering. This was because he was about to give the woman more paper work, with the look on her face not helping.
With her psionic powers, Rachel could sense the constable's nervousness and could tell why he felt that way when the constable put more work on her desk.
Some would snap in the situation but this esper didn't want to be too cruel to junior ranking officers. "Thank you for bringing these to me...gives me a little less to do. Don't worry, I'm not going to yell at you..."
The constable let off a sigh of relief.
"...unless you don't do something productive soon, then I will yell at you."
The man went away from Rachel's desk with haste and the esper continued with her work. Being cruel and strict were two different things...
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree."Alright, you are one of the foreign dignitaries." Ether responded to Kiera, before looking at the time. "You all will meet back here tomorrow, and then we will put the plan into action. Right now I have to go shopping for some supplies, so make sure not to touch anything if you choose to stay here for a bit." With that, Ether waved goodbye and headed back up to the surface, out of the shop, and into the maze of paths known as the Slums, located quite a bit aways from her shop.
She then stopped and leaned against the wall of a closed drugstore, waiting for her associate. Soon enough, one person swathed in pitch black cloth appeared, coming out of the supposedly closed business.
"Are you alone?" The being growled, features adrogynous. It glanced around, seeing if it wasn't a ruse.
"I am. This is a chance for me to get closer to achieving my goals, even if I have to skulk in the darkness." Ether replied, her mouth grimacing a little.
"...Fine." The being said after an excruciatingly long moment of silent pondering. "We will conduct the exchange inside." It glided back into the recesses of the abandoned building.
Hesitating outside, Ether attempted to sense if anything dangerous was lurking inside. She then prepared herself and stepped in, the iron door swinging to clank shut after she was in.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.Chris was slightly angry that no one had heeded his warnings about leaving separately. But what could he do about it?
Walking up the stairs and away from the wonderous, and slightly terrifying lab, Chris slipped his hand into his backpack. He muttered a word or two to the wooden object he had palmed and it extended into a short, white stave. He walked home wondering exactly what had possessed him to make him join up with a group of what amounted to terrorists.
Feminist in the streets, sex slave in the sheetsKonrad left for his house. He had a long chat with his father on the phone: It didn't help his mood.
He then went to visit a woman he had been seeing lately. He might be in for a world of hurt, might as well have some fun before all the chaos started.
The next morning he was sober, hungover, and much more serious.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it."Home is... home is somewhere you can always go... somewhere you'll always be welcome, whatever happens... It's difficult to explain... because it's more than just a place... you'll understand in time..."
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve."I don't really have a home either," ARMS said to Holy. "But I know a place when you can rest and talk about things that new to you. Is Holy interested in learning more things?"

DO NOT PURSUE LU BUChris put his backpack down and flopped onto the couch. His home was a frat house, litterally. It was rather calm, though. So he didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. His last thought before slipping into unconsciousness, however, was about a certain patchwork creature. Dear God! What is Holy going to do? I mean, she doesn't have any place to go to. I should~~~~~ By the time the panic had reached his full attention, he was already in the grip of sleep.
Feminist in the streets, sex slave in the sheets"Stay frosty, guys." Kvaz said as he headed homewards. "I'm going to go live a little before I go risk my life in the name of freedom and all that jazz." As he walked back towards the seedy part of town, he rummaged in his pocket, retrieving a little white pill. He was uncertain as to its exact chemical properties, but the dwarf he had gotten it off had many high words as regarding the effects.
"Whaddya know, that beardy geezer was good for his word." He mumbled to himself as he climbed up in the loft he used to spend those rare nights when he wasn't out doing something or other. Of course, by now, it was looking plenty more colorful than it used to be. "I can't believe birdface didn't catch me... guy must've been kinda preoccupied... not that I blame him. Heck, I'm a shapeshifter talking to myself, who am I to judge." He mumbled as he laid down on his shabby, but surprisingly comfortable mattress, riding the buzz.
Liveblog | Deadblog"Home is not something you can find easily. Sometimes you think that you have "home," but in reallity you have not. But for starter you must understand what you wish for - that would be first step to getting home."
ARMS made a pause.
"Holy reminds me of myself when I was the same age. Wanted to learn more things, as much as possible. But ARMS was a CAST, and CASTs could handle this. Does Holy get tired of learning?"
DO NOT PURSUE LU BU"Um... Holy... Holy does not know." Her face screwed up in concentration as she tried to remember. "Holy remembers... The nice man, and then... And then brightness... And then Holy was in the kahf-ay!"
Her face returned to the usual gormless expression as she stared directly at Onyan without blinking, and said "You would let Holy stay? Holy is... Good feeling!"
"ARMS is a... Good sounding person! Holy never gets tired of learning! Learning makes Holy good feeling!"

"Then let us go." ARMS offered his arm to Holy. "ARMS has so many things to teach Holy about, one by one. ARMS think Holy is good person too. Let us be friends. Holy will be safe with ARMS."
DO NOT PURSUE LU BUCedi began to leave for the door along with some of the others, but he stopped as he heard the exchange between Holy and ARMS.
Wow... he began to think. Did this patchwork girl really only come into life just recently? Magic and science never cease to amaze me... and she's so curious to learn about her world, too. Kinda reminds me of when I started learning magic. And I have a good feeling that the robot will teach her the right things... giving off a "goodbye" wave and a quick smile, he stepped out and trekked back to the hotel he was staying at.
That night, he began to question what he was doing whilst he lay in bed.
That boring guy had a point. Some of the SS members DO have families... he sighed. ... well, there's not much I can do about it NOW, is there? A little late to suggest a change to the plan. All I can do is hope that pantsless ninja is right, and put on a distraction tommorow- one that will hopefully contribute towards a plan that will make learning the truth all the easier...
As different people came back up from the basement, the fox looked up at them when they left. He had not accompanied the group downstairs, instead perching on the bartop after the group descended. Such an odd group.
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?

Danny walked throughout the moonlit streets, streetlamps casting various colors into the roadwork as reds, greens, yellows and light blues were shone into the area: giving everything a bizarre rainbow effect under the gaze of the night sky. It had taken him a few days to get used to this, but it was slightly pleasant in retrospect to the dull white lights of the everyday streets he was used to. He barely noticed them this time however, as his mind was preoccupied with what everyone was planning and what his role played in all this. He was to gather info on this "Shadow Syndicate", something which by name sounds like a kind of villainous enterprise. Yet there they are, acting as the heroes. They are incredibly gruff, and antagonistic too. It rather reminded him of Bat Man the way they were portrayed to act, taking the law into their own hands.
Danny approached his apartment and went inside, pushing dirty dishes into the sink to be washed whenever he needed to. He sat down on his bed and ran his finer across a CD player he had purchased a while back. It was shaped like an old-fashioned phonograph, but managed to play CD's due to a modification the man who sold it to him had done. He sighed softly as he laid back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. Should he even get involved in this mess? He could just as easily skip out the next day and continue his work as a butcher, pretend that nothing ever happened and that nothing most likely will. He could work toward his goals of owning a bar, his original goals anyway. But if he joined this SS... then what? What if they weren't so bad? Or what if orders were given that he, as a simple man, just could not follow?
Danny turned to the side, staring at the phonograph with a steel gaze as the brass reflected his gaze back at him. What if he was told to take out these new people somehow? Or if these new folks told him to try and kill off SS members? He was no murderer... a butcher was one thing, the animals were already dead and simply being prepared. But this was being a soldier of sorts, "Governments enforcers" as the short man said. (Even if they may not work for the government, that still needed to be found out.) Some of the folks he felt pity for, like the one lass with the curse in her stomach and the entire ordeal in particular seemed rather strung out, but what about the SS? There members wouldn't have their own troubles to deal with, things that made them... Human.
Danny stood up and reached under a phonograph, pulling out a CD inside a blue sleeve. He pulled it out and placed it in the phonograph, where it began spinning slowly. He laid back down and pulled the covers over, blinking as he tried to get some sleep. "Dame Lynn, I will need your help on this one..."
