Pharril raised an accusing finger at the Templar.
" Watch who you call heretic, false-god scum." He spat, fists clenched. He gave Ulrich a glare, then turned back to the rest of the party.
He was shocked for a moment at Huor's sudden movement, but after he realized that the sword wasn't pointed at him, he scoffed and crossed his arms. He leaned against a wall, apparently uncaring for the close-call the two had experienced.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Velia gave a quizzical glance as the vaguely-familiar elf raised a sword to her current companions.
"Is this how you usually greet each other? With short swords?" she asked, halfway stunned, halfway sarcastic. She chose to dismiss the 'petty thief' comment, it wasn't worth arguing over, and she'd heard much worse.

Nothing to see here. Move along.Huor looked at the woman from earlier briefly. "I wasn't aware you were behind me, i've been... out of it for a bit."
He returned his eyes to Ulrich and Yeliena, mainly the latter. "Like i was trying to say, i'm sorry. Immensely sorry." He kind of looked at his feet with the expression a child might have when getting scolded. Just like old times, here comes the anger... He winced and shriveled somewhat, ready for the first blow.
Mind-lapse back to enslavement.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillUlrich looked at Pharrill, dead serious.
"Your heresy is irrelevant, Keeper: Some believe, some don't. That's not the issue.", he said. "It's your plans for genocide I take issue with."
"Don't dare take this to blows.", Yeliena hissed. "Don't force me to take sides between an outsider and the worst of my tribesmen."

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Pharril's mouth opened, ready to fire off a response to Ulrich, before he heard Yeliena. He gave her a short glare, before turning back to Ulrich.
" Fine. Thanks to my kinsman's desire, I will attempt restraint. But watch yourself shem." He warned. " This issue will be resolved someday, when our current troubles are over."
He turned to the party, and noticed that Huor was... different. Even more so than usual, even with the wolf-cloak and all. He was shaking slightly, like... Pharril was unsure what to compare it to. He snapped his fingers, slightly concerned.
" Hello? Huor?"
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Huor turned to Pharril at the snap, his expression that of fear, his eyes widened in surprise. "Wha...?" It took him a moment to realize what had happened. Embarrased and frustrated, Huor backed away from the group, trying to make everyone forget about him, deciding to leave and walk to the estate on his own. It was probably better that way. He started to walk off that direction.
"Why the hell does this keep happening...", he said to himself, but not as quietly as he might like.

"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillShok had initially been dissapointed at not being led to the no-shape thing, but he soon aquired some semblance of solace at the sight of the Fereldan. It appears that he's been researching in this library for a while. Perhaps his insight into this situation might be more advanced than he had thought.
"There something wrong here. Or there was, if only for a moment." Shok paused, thinking of how to put it best. He would make no fool out of himself. "Tell me, have you noticed anything odd? Perhaps something idiotic, but going more towards despair after a few moments?" Shok began staring at the books by the mage, thinking of all possible sources of this feeling. "Those books....what are they about? Is there anything in there that might explain such a phenomenon?"
To the law and for the good of man. All I need to live by.Shok leaned against the nearest wall. "I hope this matter is mundane, but it very well may be magical I'm afraid to to say. All I know at this point is that I had come across these...waves...of stupidity, that these things became despair or frustration, and that it led me to this residence. Is there anything in those books that might explain this? Some sort of emotion magic?"
I kick arse for the Lord!Jordan got up and walked around the library. "I don't believe there are any demons associated with those emotions. Frustration can lead to rage, possibly, but I don't know anything about despair demons. Human nature is a good option, although there are also spells that can cause such things in people."

Shift was having... well, she was slightly cheered up by the hug... although it was sort of like a half-corner of woe at the moment. He'd tried to make her feel better, but she was still a little frightened...
But beyond that, all her personalities were trying to keep the vengeance demon from taking control and ripping Huor's vocal cords out.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Shok was willing to chalk this down to the nature of a human (or and elf.) Enough fights in this region had taught Shok exactly how stupid and overconfident that the these folk could be at times. Though the Ferelden's comment about the emotion magic had interested him.
"Most magic I've seen is purely destructive, or restorative. Any emotion changing magic sounds much too dangerous, like dark arts. The kind that should have a bas missing it's toungue. "
I kick arse for the Lord!"I'm sure his leaps for joy at the prospect of people who could do the work a of barbarian horde with the flick of their wrist." He was in no mood for the shallow justifications for twisting the natural laws. There was a chance that such an aberration was the cause of that aura, and if that was true, it needed to be adressed at this very moment.
"How you can be so casual about having your innermost self twisted I'll not even care to know, but dont you care for the welfare of those who might be last resilient? An bloody end to this issue isnt something that I dread personally."
I kick arse for the Lord!Shok stood upright once again and walked over to the face Jordan directly. "Possesion is the least of our worries, my worries, when it comes to the saarabas. It's their power to corrupt. Every word from a mage's mouth has the potential to be demonically inspired, to worm their way into the asla, the soul. Any competent person can fend off something so blatant as an abomination, but words pass through steel with ease. This is why I ask if you've encountered any uncharacteristic stupidity. This is often a sign of such corruption."

I kick arse for the Lord!"No, I haven't," Jordan said. "And you won't find me among those that use their magic to corrupt others. Magic exists to serve man, not to rule over him. This is the mistake the Tevinter made when they attempted to usurp the Golden City, and it unleashed the darkspawn on the world. Their pride was their downfall AND I WILL NOT HAVE IT BE MINE!
The last phrase echoed through the library, the mage now nose-to-nose with Shok.
"Do not be so confident of your sorcery, human, let alone in arms reach. You're among the most temperate of the bas I've met up until this point, and thats a reputation worth keeping." There would be no time to draw his blade should the bas further this conflict, but Shok was confident he could take away the mages advantage in other ways.
"If you cannot supply me with the information I need, then I've wasted my time here." Shok would adress the shifting thing, but only after this was over. "If you wish to continue this conflict, you've made me a happy man. A change of setting might be appropriate, in which case."
I kick arse for the Lord!Maria intervened. "Hypocrite.", she said, utter contempt on her voice.
"Your people destroy the minds of those that won't submit to them, turning them into automata.", she sneered. "And you dare bitch and whine because those endowed with magic can affect others?", she asked.
"Get out of my house.", she ordered.
You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Having left the group and reached the Estate, Huor paused before entering. He didn't exactly want to intrude, and he'd been to and from this place twice already. Once he went inside, he looked around for Maria, Jordan, Shok or Shift, not sure where to look for them.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank Hill"I'm no longer affiliated with the Qun, and you should be grateful for that." Shok said gently. "The Qunari's methods are not mine. I am for more direct, and for a certain meaning of the term, more merciful solutions to my problems. One of those problems is the fact that at anytime, certain individuals can twist your mind like a worn out rag with techniques they learned from demons, and that I'm to welcome these things with open arms. Believe what you will, I have no yearning to impediment your delusions, but I'll always consider sorcery a threat."
Any empathy Shok had previously for the mental well-being of these people was long gone, and so was any reason to stay here. He was already far too late, it appeared to him. "I will leave, for the moment. Dont be suprised, however If I so choose to return. I'll find my own way out." Shok began to do just that.

I kick arse for the Lord!

Both Ulrich and Yeliena would each find a particularly wicked-looking shortsword covered in sharp ice crystals pointed at their necks, both held by Huor, who was in a combat stance of sorts. Once Huor realized who they were, he pulled them back, Yeliena's especially quickly. "I-i... i'm so sorry, i...", he started, not being able to find the proper words.
