Man, seeing the relationship between Duane and his brother, it's quite sad. There also being the possibility that his brother betrayed him in some way, considering he knew that Duane was still alive before he was cremated.
Ch12 p26 We are due finally an economics lecture about the Crescian sort-of magitech socialism?
The Khert sequence is fairly interesting. Tittybird uses the Two-toe terms for humans and them, which coupled with her appearing to be worshipped by them and Two-toes being treated like dirt by humans makes me think her intentions towards mankind may not be as benevolent as they seem. Duane also seems to miss her sarcasm here.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Actually, he seems to snark right back, so perhaps a subtle acknowledgment of his flaws.
I love Quigley's reaction to his son's little play. "Why are you killing me?" indeed.

I'm so glad they're finally all in the same room, this promises some pretty fantastic interactions.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority. At least Bell believes his own line. That's something, right?
I didn't really expect Toma's wife to look like that. And Karl looks to be a class A creep.
Toma's wife where? In that flashback from dozens of pages ago? Because I'm pretty sure that's Toma's kid or some other child on the balcony. Also, what half-assed conspirators conspire in plain speech in someone's living room?!

Ah, that. Yeah, pretty sure her not being naked save for some gold bling adds to the conflicting image. Wow, is that what they wear for mourning? Bright fluffy colors?
Also, commenting on the page previous to that. I love how animated Duane is these days. He's regained some of that cheer and humor he had when he was still alive.

Ashely went into it on her Tumblr, it's the colors of the khert, therefore the colors of the literal afterlife.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Ah, that does make a lot of sense. Interesting how an actual knowledge and view of the afterlife can influence cultural practices, and yet somehow the religious wars are still the same.
In fairness, even if they know about the afterlife, the question of gods is still in the air.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'm sure even if they met the gods, there would still be arguments about whether or not they are real gods, which gods you should actually worship, and so on.
So... I take it that Delicieu took over Cutter's body?
I hope not, that's boring
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority. It is Occam's Razor at this point.
Would the original Delicieu refer to humans as spiderpaws, though? That seems pretty clearly a lizard thing.
My money's on some kind of unholy fusion thing.
Be not afraid...Whatever the real answer is, it's probably fucked up.
Unsounded, everyone! // // The imagery these last few pages has been fantastic.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I love Bastion, he's so dramatic, all the time
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.or... not yet.
Turns out this mob lawyer suffered from Suicidal Overconfidence
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.
Well, I suppose a Copper could pass for Cresceian from a distance at least.
