@Leradny: Yes. Do this now. After you are done, I will read it, at which point I will be ecstatic. I'm already ecstatic, actually.

Maybe I should throw in a "yay" here...

I'm going to write something really depressing today.

edit: not as in unskilled, but actually of depressing nature.

Been there, every other update at some points (I wonder if that is subconsciously why I gave mister Lyon a real role at this point in time). That can be hard to do. sad

Just finished reading an awesome fic — one that was complete, even — in one sit through. I forgot how nice that is.

500 words. I think I'm nearing the stage where I need to start consolidating chapters instead of pumping out words, just to clear the air a bit.

Tonight, I am actually going to try typing 500 words. The problem is, what story I should work on

I've been writing vignettes for English class. They're actually a lot of fun. I should try keeping a diary in vignette form. If only I didn't have such a bad track record with keeping diaries.

Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey Bitchfest

It's really hard to write the same thing but completely different.

That depends on how you approach it.

A kiddie pool, a sad bookshelf, a dummy tank, the entire collection of Friends on DVD, and spare amputated limbs from a medical waste site.

I'm wondering if it's a terrible idea to give my Humanoid Abomination a distinctly Upper Midwestern accent.

Looking at the trope I see Midwestern has a "rasp"? I frankly have no idea what they're talking about. Can someone explain?

I didn't mean like that, I mean like when you write a scene, and then, you go back to write it better. You just gotta look at the scene in a different way when rewrite it.

It's the same scene, but it is totally written more vividly with exact nouns and colorful adjectives where appropriate. Oh, and it needs good flow and natural progression of events clearly written out, and the dialog speaks for itself.

Or something like that, I am not feeling great atm, so sorry if I am not making total sense or am talking weirdly.

Writing a small Hunting the Most Dangerous Game subplot, and trying to figure out what the best way to solve it with time travel would be. I have the gist of it I think, but its still kinda clunky. Need to find a way for it to not sound forced.

271 words, and the day is over. Starting to get a bit irritated at myself for having such a low streak for three days in a row.

Thanks! I will use some of those—they would surely all fit. This character's house has however much room on the inside as he wants it to have, and he can put anything in it. This is because neither he nor that house is real (how/why is complicated).

Being the troll that he is, he uses that power to put oceans in closets, generate lizard swordsmen to spar with and fashion a room that is constantly on lukewarm fire—among worse things.

You know what the trouble with Google Docs is? You can see that your betareader hasn't done anything yet... and I'm already third way in in the next chapter!

Speaking of Google Docs, my school is slowly converting their e-mail to Google. I had already used Google Docs for a few school projects. It's a very good service.

Yesturday, I got this three-legged pig figurine called a chanchito. They come from a town in Chile, and they're very cute. I'm thinking of putting one into one of my stories, and possibly have them in my Cross-over Verse.

More on topic. Since I have early release today, I will be posting the next Character Development Thread between 2 o clock PM Central Time to 4 o clock. Which time do you prefer? I want it as early as possible so I could trend a lot of ground this afternoon.

I think I might write a vignette for this thread sometime today.

Has ADD, plays World of Tanks, thinks up crazy ideas like children making spaceships for Hitler. Occasionally writes them down.

I'll probably be able to participate in the character development thread this time because my soul won't be being eaten by a convention this weekend.

I watch the Character Development Threads just like the two RPs I'm in- like a hawk. In retrospect, I've found that that's necessary to keep up. Sometimes they move really fast, sometimes they slow to a crawl.
