This shows needs to happen. Then again, if the last few years have taught us anything, it's that live action superhero shows have the approximate survival chances of a brain cell on a reality TV program. Yes, I'm bitter about The Cape's cancellation. Could you tell?
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutAfter seeing Thor, I believe that this show must be made. Coulson needs more love.
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutWell, ABC seems to be more interested in an Incredible Hulk remake so it would probably need to be on another network (such as Starz, who has a deal with Disney).

ABC wouldn't want two shows eating up most of their budget.

Not *quite* the original idea, but. . .

Holy shit. Maybe Marvel listened.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comIdea for an episode: Agent Coulson vs. the bad guy from Mr. Popper's Penguins. Clark Gregg plays both roles.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I could see this concept as an animated show with a government agent dealing with the cleanup work for Captains Ersatz, in the style of Archer, The Venture Brothers, or Ugly Americans. Of course, if Marvel got into it, it could be established heroes, but that doesn't mix well with the concept in my mind.
What I can't see very well is a live-action show set in a superhero universe that's focused on such characters. Maybe I'm thinking too office-centered, but I'm picturing a show that would be effects-heavy but action-light.

Fresh-eyed movie blog

Okay, an idea a couple of friends of mine formed: a TV series starring Agent Phil Coulson, the recurring Mauve Shirt from the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. In it, you get to see the misadventures that are is career, as he investigates and deals with various ( mostly ) lower level super human events and similar weirdness. Newly popped superhumans needing either assistance or containment ( depending on if they go crazy evil or not ), Fortean events, science accidents, strange conspiracies, stuff like that. Sort of the kind of stuff you see in shows like the X-Files, Supernatural, or Heroes, except with a good-aligned Man in Black working for a generally good-aligned 'government conspiracy.' And as a side benefit, it could also be used to test some of the lesser known characters from the Marvel U, to see whether they are popular enough to support their own franchise.
So, thoughts? Could it be done well? Would you watch it?
