'd, but the High Republic era is essentially the Golden Age of the Republic - where the Republic is expanding and building greater and greater things with minimal corruption, and Jedi are far more integrated with society. Essentially an unmatched era of prosperity and cooperation for the galaxy.
We don't have a reason yet for why it's considered as starting when it did or when specifically things started to transition into the corrupt bureaucracy of the prequels, but the Acolyte is hinting at the latter somewhat.

High Republic Era is period from around 500 to 82 BBY. It was introduced in High Republic publishing initiative and generally it’s Star Wars equivalent of Age of Expansion and Industrial Revolution, with both Republic and Jedi being at their most idealistic and actually living up to what they expouse (Republic leads efforts to expand into still mostly unexplored Outer Rim while Jedi have outposts over it, are less directly connected with the Republic and are generally more loose with the rules).

One interesting thing about Taborr is that they pulled a similar twist to Commander Nemmex from Miles from Tomorrowland , another Disney Junior sci-fi action show produced by Wild Canary. By that, I mean, they pull a similar twist in how the character is originally introduced as an antagonist who's always masked, then a somewhat smug protagonist character who shares the same voice actor as the character is introduced. We then later see how it's intentional since they're one and the same.

Here are the Young Jedi Adventures episodes coming in August on TV, with the premieres on the Disney Junior channel being at 6:25 am and the premieres on the Disney Junior block being at 7:00 am. We have
"Heroes and Hot-Shots / A Jedi or a Pirate" on August 14, "The Rustler Roundup / A New Discovery" on August 15, "A Pirate's Pet / The Secret Ship" on August 16, "Nub's Big Mistake / The Jedi Rescue" on August 23, and "Terror of Tenoo / The Prince of Masks" on August 30.
For Disney Junior specifically, the first 2 seasons of Firebuds and Alice's Wonderland Bakery, and the first few episodes of Pupstruction, Superkitties , Eureka, and Ariel all premiered on Wednesdays or Thursdays with premiere weeks. As such, it's normal for there to have Young Jedi Adventures burn off 5 episodes in 2 weeks, with 3 of those episodes being during the week of August 14. Given how Young Jedi Adventures is not only a Disney Junior original but also a Disney Plus original, this would mean a bunch of episodes premiering on Disney Plus first and rolling out on TV in batches over the course of a few weeks.

Observations:
- It looks like they’re Butch and Cassidy-ing Taborr note , which makes sense since the Cyrus’ Hidden Heart of Gold is a subplot now.
- That said, there’s a brief shot of Taborr with what looks like a Nihil-esque makeover.
- Several Nihil in this, in fact, including what looks to be a new Big Bad who might be a pirate droid.
- On the flip side, they’re ramping up that recurring gang of bandits into a bigger threat as well, with more members.
- More Kai and Bell!

Well, Disney Junior shows from Icon Creative Studios tend to get really good with animation as time goes on. Speaking of animation, storyboard Christina Mijares Doung shows off a 2D storyboard animatic she did for "The Team Up". It looks pretty cool. She also talks about how storyboarding for preschool action shows differs from that of regular action shows. In the case of this series, it seems that, besides usual standards and practices, there's some freedom to animate the scenes any way possible, mainly just following the directors.

So I guess they’re going for a “Nubs thought he was the only one of his people to ever become a Jedi” thing?
He wouldn’t have been the only High Republic Jedi from a rare group. Qort is one too.
Over in the Acolyte we even had a Zygerrian Jedi. It’s one of the coolest things about the HR - it’s so vibrant and colorful, which really accentuates how diverse the Jedi are.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I'm watching The Mandalorian, and I got to the episode about Elsbeth, who you may remember had half of Tales of the Empire dedicated to her backstory, and I'm really glad I saw those first because otherwise it would be really hard to see this person as anything more than a speedbump, and the fact that she's an agent for Thrawn would have come out of nowhere.
So season 2 of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is out today. Disney Now, Disney Junior On Demand, and Disney Plus with the first 11 episodes. The episodes will air on TV between today and October 11. I saw the season premiere "Heroes And Hot Shots/A Jedi Or A Pirate". It's pretty good.

A few fun things about the season!
- The animation, models and facial expressions aren't just significantly buffed this season, but everyone in the core cast gets a slightly new design or outfit. Even the ship gets a redesign.
- Zia's new padawan is a lot like teen Anakin, but with all the Teens Are Monsters emo dickishness filed off.
- Giving the trio slightly younger younglings to be semi-mentors to was a really fun idea that lets us see the kids both be kids and be mature. Stuff like this makes me hope these characters get more play once the series is over.
- The lightsaber in that preview of the other Pooba Jedi eventually gets activated, and it's a freaking longsword! We need way more Jedi with longsword.
- A Hutt voiced by Jason Mantzoukas! Adrien Pimento himself! I still want to see him in this franchise in live action.
- There's another fun "Yoda is a badass, but happily lets the kids take care of the adventure" episode.
- They're committing to "Cyrus slowly becomes a better person." A lot less "Taborr the bully pirate" episodes, just a few "Cyrus learning to be a better person" episodes. It's the only subplot the series has, albeit a minor one.
- I can add this series to my list of media that have spiders in it but doesn't portray them as evil monsters - even if they do feature in an arachnophobia episode. (an Overly Small Superlative, sure, but I grew up on Anansi stories) Fun, given how often "animals as monsters" is a Star Wars thing.
- Speaking of Star Wars tradition, we have what I'm pretty sure is the franchise's first example of a Trandoshan making friends with Wookies.

So, why is this era called the High Republic, and what happened at the beginning and end of it that made people mark it as a particular era?
