... Somehow I am not surprised in the slightest that the droid arc is Lucas' favorite.

[up]I don't know that I'm emotionally prepared for whatever Darth Filonius has in store for us next. I sorta broke down crying earlier today while driving when my playlist put on Its Over Now and Burying the Dead back to back.

It should be noted that whatever animated series is up next, Filoni probably isn’t personally involved. He’s been promoted above the level of creative director for these shows.

The Clone Wars, being a very personal project for him, is an exception.

I liked the concept of the droid arc but it like a few arcs was an episode too long

Like the Onderon arc

[up]Which droid arc? That all droid team, or C 3 PO and R 2 D 2 having wacky adventures like they did in the 80’s?

It occurred to me yesterday that Dave might have made Sabine’s thing be “street-artist Mandalorian” in the first place because he was hoping they would eventually be able to include Thrawn in the show.

I might be the last person to realize this.

So it looks like the Bad Batch are getting their own show. Interesting. Not something I would have expected but maybe this explains why they picked that as one of the final season arcs over something that was in a less complete state. I'd still prefer a Post-ROTJ series about Ahsoka and Sabine but that may be getting set up in the Mandalorian.

[up]This is probably the closest we’ll ever get to that Imperial Commando game, so I’m down, even if I still prefer Delta Squad to the Bad Batch.

Y'know I still wish we could see the "Rise of Boba Fett" arc, that ends with Boba killing Cad Bane.

From what I've heard it follows the Batch as they go AWOL from the now-Imperial military to work as mercenaries. To put my speculation hat on, I'm willing to bet Rex will show up and we'll get a big story arc about how he wound up living in hiding on a desert planet with Gregor and Wolffe.

I'd rather have one for the Delta Team.

I remember thinking that the Bat Batch seemed practically tailor made for a video game, but a tv show works.

I also thought it would be a cool idea for the Bad Batch's mutations to make it so Order 66 didn't trigger for them correctly, allowing them to be a bunch of heroic clones post the Empire's founding.

You know what? I'm game. This seems really interesting, and doesn't run into the same issues that something with a Jedi during the period between Rot S and ANH has

[up]x3 - Being expies of the Deltas, who got their start in a first person shooter for the original Xbox and PC, that makes perfect sense. That’s not a bad thing, because in the context of the game, you care for your squad and want to see them through their missions.

Well the Batch are an extremly unique group of clones only appeared in the show’s final season so might as well use them to more major capacity.

I wonder if the bad batch followed order 66. They weren't assigned to a Jedi after all.

[up] As pointed out further above, maybe their mutations messed with the chips. Not to mention that all the shit Echo went through might have legitimately rendered his useless.

Also, if they're not assigned to any Jedi, then even if their switches are flipped they wouldn't have anyone to attack, which gives someone like Rex time to get to them and take the chips out.

Now I kind of hope we do get to see Rex get to them and have them help with Wolffe and Gregor and anyone else they managed to save.
