I'm fond of some of Nagi's lines. Partly just because his voice actor absolutely nails the dry delivery.
Nagi: I seem to recall the director-general having the same complaint.
Nagi: I can only imagine how bad you get after a few drinks.

There remains a foothold out of this mire — now climb.Restarting Xenoblade 3 and playing on Hard Mode this time. Chapter sure is poorly-balanced for the enemy stat inflation. I think it's just bad until you get a full party, or even until you get Chain Attack.
Continue writing our story of peace.Yeah, I'll be surprised if we get anything more than technical-level improvements, and maybe a minor Qo L fix or two.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownHuh, the downloadable content of Xenoblade 3 is acting funky. I have to re-download it.

Continue writing our story of peace.A little thought when it comes to class inheritance, as I usually stick to the inherited classes for the postgame contents. Mio's inherited classes are the worst on average, while Sena's and Lanz's are the best.
Mio is unfortunately saddled with 3 Agnian Healer classes, which are inferior to the Kevesi Healer classes by default. Her default class is also an Agnian Defender, which gets worse as the game goes on. Her only good endgame class is Lapidarist, a DLC class.
Sena has the distinction of inheriting no bad class. Her worst class is Machine Assassin, but as a Kevesi Attacker it can at least leverage strong Agnian Arts to Smash or dodge tank. Speaking of dodge tank, Martial Artist is a very strong candidate even if it's not the best. Ogre and Yumsmith are two of the best Breakers in the entire game (though if you don't have the DLC, Ogre falls under Character Select Forcing).
Lanz's worst class is his default class Heavy Guard, as Lone Exile is the only Defender worth using. His next worst class is Signifer, which is good but mostly lost its job to the Kevesi Healers. Speaking of Kevesi Healers, War Medic is better than Signifer in every way, and is arguably the best compared to its two rivals. His best class is Soul Hacker, the best Healer and Chain Attacker in the entire game, and remains a Character Select Forcing even after DLC power creep.
Noah, Eunie, and Taion have their own fair share of stinkers (Stalker, Lost Vanguard, Tactician, Strategos), but Eunie's classes can't reach the same highs as Noah's and Taion's classes (Attacker L7, Flash Fencer, Seraph).

Hard disagree about Eunie's options, 'cuz that's where character customization comes into play. With the proper support skills and relics, Eunie can become the most broken heale in the game. In fact, I was able to breeze through the entire final boss battle on my first try thanks to her.
Simply set Eunie to War Medic with Pride of Place as her talent art, make sure she has the support skill that allows her to begin every battle with her Talent Gauge at Max level, and give her the accessory that boosts blaze damage. Congrats, from now on, your will party will practically be immortal.
Pride of Place will deal horrendous amounts of continuous blaze damage to all enemues that enter its AOE, while simultaneously creating a high-speed HP regen field for your party. Equip Eunie with runes to boost her healing magic stat and her ally revival skill and using her borders on EZ mode.
Z couldn't do jack to my party 'cuz, thanks to Eunie, Pride of Place became a perpetual "can't touch us/health spa" zone. Lanz provided support with Soul Hacker buffs and I had Taion set to FMJ for dps/crowd control, along with Juniper for the same reasons as Taion. Noah and the others were just along for the ride.
War Medic... isn't Eunie's inherited class. Or are you talking about Medic Gunner?

Continue writing our story of peace. If Field of Pride is that important, then Lapidarist would be better than War Medic, right? It has faster recharge, thus can spam Talent Art faster than other Kevesi Healers.
Of course, Seraph can recharge Talent Art even faster than that because Dragon's Snarl + Quickdraw is an overpowered combo.
Edited by RAlexa21th on Jun 5th 2025 at 8:53:36 AM
Continue writing our story of peace.Medic Gunner's standard arts are arguably better than Laphradist's, especially Advanced Cooldown (physical def. up party barrier) and Heal Bullet (deals damage + party heal).
But Pride of Place is the best healing talent art, because of how wide its AOE is + how long it lasts + how quickly it deals blaze damage + how quickly it restores HP. You get all of those benefits with just that one art. So yeah, War Medic with Pride of Place as its talent art is busted.
Can't say I agree on the value of healing Talent Art, but again, War Medic is a Lanz inheritance class, so it's just one more point for Lanz.
I agree that War Medic is the best among the three Kevesi Healers, but for a different reason.
Continue writing our story of peace. In this configuration, Lanz and Taion are gonna be stuck at Soul Hacker and Seraph respectively, so interesting classes like War Medic and Incursor get the shaft. That said, Seraph excels at multiple roles so Taion's build is a little more interesting.
Mio is also stuck with Lapidarist since it's her only good class. Good thing that beyond the Kevesi Healer build it can also dodge tank if you really want her to.
Noah is spoiled for choice as offensive options. Swordmaster is all about Smash. Flash Fencer excels at both Smash and dodge tank. Royal Summoner is great for AOE (though inferior to Seraph's build). Lucky Seven excels at both AOE and Smash. He can even go for a Break + Topple build with Noponic Champion.
Eunie can either go for a Kevesi Healer build or dodge tank builds with FMJ and Lone Exile. Her dodge tank classes have pros and cons compared to each other, but I'm leaning towards Lone Exile these days.
Sena would be stuck with Ogre if it weren't for the DLC, but now she has Yumsmith as an alternative Break build. If you think Noah's Noponic Champion is good enough, then Sena can even go for dodge tank with Martial Artist or Smash with Machine Assassin, though Flash Fencer outshines them in both roles.
Continue writing our story of peace. It's more endgame material. Casually, you can simply shuffle them around, as when you go through the main story and its various quests, you'll want to invest in getting a character to level 10 in a given class, then shuffle around so that progress isn't wasted (you'll need to complete various class/hero ascension quests to increase the cap to level 20). Think of the process more as trying to unlock master arts whenever you can, preferably the ones you would be most likely to use.
ASAB: All Sponsors Are Bad.Thinking about how good the Future Redeemed classes would be if they were imported into base game Xenoblade 3. Admittedly I haven't replayed it much. These classes will have access to Master Arts and Master Skills, but their unique Fusion Arts won't be available.
Matthew's gameplay is obviously the Martial Artist, which means dodge spam galore. His evasion art doesn't have high crit, but Cancel+ is still a good effect. What gives him the advantage over his descendant, however, is that he has a universal Break, so he can also play as a better Noponic Champion due to being an Attacker.
A is a Kevesi Healer, which means they are better than the Agnian Healers by default. Still, their native Skills and Arts are kinda all over the place. Armor Piercing is the only good Skill they have, and it's more for offense than support. Arguably the worst Kevesi Healer.
Glimmer is an Agnian Healer with no Resonant Flag, so there's a limit of how good she can be. Her native Arts are actually very nice, so I think she'd be below Signifer but above other Agnian Healers.
Nikol... there's not much you can salvage a Guardian Commander clone. He doesn't even get a Combo Art!
Rex's Double Spinning Edge shenanigan is unfortunately not as impressive in the base game due to everyone under the sun can crit recharge thanks to Frenzied Combo. He could attempt a dodge tank build, but he doesn't have an innate Evade move. What he does shine, however, is his Combo build. With front Topple and side Launch, he actually outshines Seraph at the Topple + Launch niche. You know you're impressive when you actually powercreeps a Seraph build.
Shulk is the biggest glow-up in this transition. As a dodge tank, he has... one good Skill and one situational Skill, so he unfortunately can't measure up to Lone Exile. However, his utility is amazing, and basically power creeps Yumsmith. Universal Break and being the fastest Awakening passer are some incredible niche. Shulk has historically been a better supporter than attacker, and this is no different.

Continue writing our story of peace.Oh right, Motor Lifter. I suppose he could use Launch+Smash combo to gain aggro for himself, so he can be a better Lost Vanguard.

Shulk would break the game wide open. Awakening requires a few hoops to pass it along to the rest of the party, but since Grand Marshall can get it through Monado Buster, slap on Capable Hands, use Monado Buster, then Resonant Flag, then start tanking while everyone has Awakening. Heck, you could just give a flagger Monado Buster instead.
Agnian classes have access to one evasion Master art and that's all you need for the Master Driver class, and it's the one every Agnian class uses anyways (Quickdraw).
