In general, you may want to gear up for a tough fight.

it apparently comes with a few caveats, but it might be worth trying.

Too late. I've perfected my latest run so I'm not throwing that away. Plus I moved out and didn't take my Wii U with me.

I was very confused by what the joke was suppsoed to be when i looked at the pic with hoverZoom. But it turns out the extension is high or something and wasn't showing the right image.

Now it makes much more sense.

Beat Torna a bit ago. Hot damn, that ending got me right in the feels. I knew I was in trouble once Drifting Soul started up. Torna is amazingly good DLC for an amazingly good game. I loved every minute of it. It's given me such a greater appreciation for the events of the main game. Jin thinking that the person Mythra's meant to bond with being someone in the future was nice. Mythra having visions of Rex before going berserk was even nicer and really got me.

Even though I knew the outcome, with that quest about building a shelter and the one about building ships for evacuation and whatnot, I was completely blindsided when it showed a lot of people being obliterated when Malos attacked the capital. The fact that they also averted Infant Immortality twice in rapid succession also really hit me. No wonder Mythra sealed herself away and didn't want to come back out. Speaking of which, I never thought that seeing Pyra again would hurt so much.

Then I immediately started up NG+ for the base game. I was not prepared for Mythra to pop up in the very first battle. I about lost it. Running around with Pyra/Mythra when I'm about to go get Pyra is also kinda funny. Also, sometime between the last time I played the base game and now, my love for Nia increased exponentially. I'll probably end up spending most of my time playing as her this go through. I like playing healers and loved playing as Haze in Torna.

I kinda hate going back to all of the Blade shuffling I'm going to have to do for treasure troves now, though. At least I can safely ignore basically all of them.

Stuff like the shelter sidequest chain is part of what I liked about the Torna DLC so much. It showed how all the quests interlinked, and it made the overall ending that much more painful because you know just how much work went into trying to prevent exactly what ended up happening.

I have all the Blades, but I think I planned on doing something before restarting, but I can't recall what it was.

Have we ever agreed on why Army Pizza couldn't hire some extra help? They obviously don't have money problems, and I rather doubt there weren't any humans willing to work at a relatively easy job. Or an alien, since it doesn't seem like Powell hated them before that happened.

My guess would be that he was too busy with his work himself to realize it was killing her wife and do something about it.

Too bad Rook couldn't tell them in advance.

So, if the Follow Ball is supposed to show the way to one's objective or whatever, why can't they use it to find the Lifehold? Seems like it'd be pretty helpful for that.

Gameplay and Story Segregation. It's also why you have to plant all of the data probes yourself despite BLADE HQ getting data from data probes in places you haven't been.

The probe thing can be handwaved by the idea that there's far more probe sites than you actually install - The rest of the blade has to be doing something on their end, after all. Just like it's pretty implausible that a single person could be responsible for surveying an entire planet in like two months. The blade just progresses in mira roughly at the same pace than you do.

The mundane explanation for the whole followball thing is that you already know where yo'ure going - you have GPS coordinates you input in the thing, and it finds you a suitable road to take to reach it. It doesn't omnisciently knows where is what you want - it's just really good at pathfinding on Mira. You can't tell it him to get you to the core, because you don't know the coordinates for the core.

It's also given out by Tatsu, and Tatsu doesn't know where Lifehold Core is.

Can we all agree that Tatsu is, by far, the worst thing about XCX? Just remove him and the game becomes so much better.

I always did like Tora better.

A Girl's Wings is still one of the best missions in the game. Both for flying seamlessly out of NLA into the sky and getting that one stupid probe. X has its problems, but sometimes it really knows how to frustrate correctly.

I honestly have no beef with him. I mean, I don't think it would worsen or improve the game to remove.

....plus, he does have himself some Kamina Shades. That's a few points in my book, enough for me to be indifferent.

Anyway, decided to go with a Photon Saber/Assault Rifle build. Doing well enough for me so far, though the cats gave me more trouble than anticipated. Probably a consequence of my teammates being so under-leveled. Hopefully the final boss doesn't give me as much trouble as it did in my initial run since I do have an Overdrive build planned out.

They wasted a perfectly good Straight Man in the Japanese on Tatsu..

I find it unfortunate that the Nopon in X were almost made to be as unappealing as possible, with Tatsu being the characterization of them in a nutshell.

I still hate a whole bunch of other things more than him though.

I really loved the one about the couple getting married and the girl didn't care about money and was marrying her fiance cause she loves him.
