The episode just on wasn't so bad, but maaaan was it weird! It did have some funny moments like Horace's explanation of losing lives in a game. Did get a headache after watching it though. I'm really starting to think this show is suppose to be terrible on purpose. That's what the mindset seems to be anyway.

So I decided to actually watch the show.

Now I need some headache medicine... just, the combination of the horribly blinding art, annoying voices, and just...

How long is this atrocity going to last?

MAKE IT GO AWAY MOMMY |__|

I have to question who this is aimed at. Most children would be terrified of this thing, and the only other target demographic I can think of (Western Animation "Fans" like ourselves) seem to despise it, so....

oh yeah, the episode with the video game mummy. Not good. Would not watch again.

They'll end up renewing it. Keep in mind that Cartoon Network also renewed Assy Mc Gee despite the fact that no one liked it.

maybe cartoon network purposefully green-lit this show knowing that it was terrible, so that it would divert viewers to see there other shows

For those wondering what the target audience is, I found a few comments on Youtube Problem Solverz videos saying stuff like "this'll look great when I'm high" and "this is a good show for stoners."

That might explain it.

I have a feeling that, if the art weren't as offensive as it is, I might like this show.

I also watched Assy Mcgee willingly and happily. This says bad things about me I am sure.

Ever think that this show might be some kind of a joke? That the kingpins behind "Fosters" are attempting to get revenge on CN by making a terrible terrible show?

[up] Still doesn't make it any better. A Superjail-esque show full of violence as comedy is phased out after 5 episodes (a new record after Clerks The Animated Series), only to be replaced with this...thing.

Well.

I watched the first episode of this out of intrigue when it premiered. (Yes, you can blame me for being one of the twenty-five or so people who contributed to this show's ratings)

I hated it. Plain and simple.

However, after prodding into the history of the project, I discovered Neon Knome. Watched it, and I liked it. Went back further to watch a clip from the Alfe segment on Paper Rad's Trash Talking DVD. It was alright. The art was certainly less grating in its more primitive state.

And then I watched an episode of the You Tube microseries (Problem Solvers, with an s.) Damn. It came together for me. Being a fan of lo-fi and nostalgic styles in artwork, this particular incarnation of the show kind of hit home with me. It reminds me of a really shitty MS-DOS game or something. Something you would have found in the bargain bin at some decrepit old software outlet in 1991. Or maybe a pixel painting made in a similarly shitty drawing program from the same era. The artwork in the You Tube series is less vivid, more geometric, a bit blockier... still reeks of Flash, but it's not as intimidating upon first glance as the CN series. The humor in the episodes is off the cuff, leaving the episodes almost plot-free. The whole thing really feels more like a work of stupid hipster art here than it does in any of its other forms.

I like stupid pretentious crap like that. Maybe I should give this series a second chance.

I am completely indifferent to this show so far, but reading your posts about it pisses me off. You're all going way, way too overboard with venom towards a harmless little cartoon show. What's worse is that half of you started before you even fucking watched it, and are missing that its awkwardness and ugliness are an intentional part of its humor. It may not really work, no, that's been done better before, but you're reacting to it as if it were trying to be something else and failing. You're essentially letting it troll you, and you're handling it so badly that I hope it's on every single time you turn the television on ever again.

And the "IT KILLED SYMBULONIC GIGAN!!!" comments need to stop. ''That is not how these things work. This is not the only show Cartoon Network picked up around the same time. You know why sym-bionic titan was cancelled? Because it failed. It failed without any assistance from any other series. This happened because Tartakovsky bit off more than he could chew and made a series too boring for the target audience and only appealing to niche fanboys. Also because he's a mediocre writer anyway. Oh yeah, I said it.

You know what? Forget the thing about the television, I hope you wake up one day in a parallel earth where the sky is just one gigantic episode of PROBLEM SOLVERZ playing on a loop forever.
