Kyouya silently tapped Violet's shoulder. "Hey, we're supposed to be heading to town now. Follow me."
Kyouya led Violet out of the building to the grove, where the rest of the campers were waiting, and talking amongst them selves. It seemed that Flann had gathered the rest of them. Himiko blew a loud whistle which startled the campers into attention. "Alright, let's go on ahead now! Everyone down the path, toot sweet!"
The campers returned to the village by the path they had taken earlier. Himiko led them through the edge of town, where a few small towers could be seen every half mile or so around the border of the forest and the village. Himiko led the campers to a somewhat large, Victorian styled building with a wooden sign reading "Hakkoumori Public Library" in both Japanese and Gaelic. "This is the library, we've got all sorts of books here, feel free to browse any time you want. Let's go in, and remember, be quiet."
Himiko opened the door and waved everyone in. The inside of the library seemed somehow larger when you were inside of it. The books lined the walls, and the whole building had a pleasantly low light level, the air was also much cooler than the hot and humid air outside. An older lady resembling Himiko walked up to the group and bowed. "You must be this year's campers... Allow me to introduce my self, I'm Moira McClellan Himiko's mother." That having been said while Moira was clearly older, her hair having a few grey streaks in it, and some slight wrinkles having shown on her face, she did not seem all that much older than Himiko, and was admittedly rather attractive. "Please make use of the library whenever you like."
"Why don't you all browse the selection for a bit?" Himiko said.

TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Taro's eyes greedily took in the rows and rows of books. Maybe I can find that book series I've been meaning to finish... Or maybe I can try to read a Sherlock Holmes book? Haven't read one of those, but they're supposed to be really good... Or- Taro shook his head, stopping the thought, No. Stop right there. You need to focus. A book on local flora and fauna might be useful, though... With that, he began to wander, looking for the non-fiction section for something useful in his search. The urge to look for something more entertaining was almost overwhelming- almost, evidently, as he fought it with his whole being.
"I wonder where the books on plants and stuff are..." he thought aloud, quietly of course, but half-wishing someone more knowledgeable about the locations of things in the library would hear.

Hey! Read my fanfic: HereYuki looked at the library with amazement. He was awed by the looks of the library, along with the cool, breezy air. While he looked at the library with awe, he makes sure that his headphones are off, since the library is supposed to be a quiet place. He noticed a lady greeting the campers, and Yuki is one of them. In turn, he greeted the old woman known as Moria, "My name is Yuki Takumi. It's an honor to meet you, Ms. Moira. I hope that I can make some friends along the way, although I'm not good at making friends..."
When Yuki said the last few words from his mouth, he was a bit embarrassed. He thought that it would expose him of trouble, but at least he managed to say something. Yuki walked over to the Fiction section of the library, and he can't decide which book he would read. There are so many books that he would love to read, but he can't just stay in there for a while. After a few seconds, Yuki took out a random book, and he went to one of the tables for reading. There, he started to read the book. A story about love and obsession... Not my type of book, but it would have to do...

Shutdown sequence initiated.Logan, who had been holding the door open for the others, hung back by the entrance as everyone filed in and started looking around. Though he heard Moira introduce herself, he let the portal swing shut and stood to the side instead of moving forward, taking a deep breath in through his nose. The heady smell of bound papers and inked pages greeted him. Ahhhhhh, the wonders of a public library! His own local one back in the States had often been a refuge for him, a sort of home away from home. The albino boy could spend hours wandering the stacks and never get tired.
Finally deciding to wander toward the elderly librarian after Yuki introduced himself, the bespectacled young man bowed politely. "Excuse me, Ma'am," he began, smiling earnestly, "would you happen to have any books on the village's history?"

I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire.Seto mock-groaned when he realized they were visiting a library, but the air-conditioning changed his mind. While he'd never admit it, he did enjoy the less weighty fantasies and scifis- Kami of California, he'd even wanted to be a samurai when he was a kid, or had it been a space-astronaut-ninja? He cast a careful eye around in hopes of possibly spotting a good one while at the same time pretending that he had no interest in the written word.
The McClellan women were presently embroiled in a conversation in Gaelic.
"So Himiko, are you going to find yourself a husband like I've been telling you to?"
"Mom! I told you, I want to take care of the camp."
"That implies the two are separate..."
"I told you before, Mom. Joshua is engaged, Kyouya's unbelievably off limits when it comes to romance, and Aidan and Quinn are still doing the will-they-or-won't-they."
"I didn't mean counselors."
"MOM! They're, they're kids for Christ's sake!"
"If there's grass on the mound...."
"You need to stop reading romance novels, you're an even creepier old woman than you used to be."
"Whatever you say darling. In the mean time, it seems one of them is about to ask me about something."
Moira turned around to face Logan. "Yes my child? The history of the village? There's not much written on the subject I'm afraid."

TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Yuki was busy reading the book that he randomly took, but he overheard a conversation that sounded different from the language he spoke. Yuki didn't mind the conversation as he kept on reading his book, since he was unfamiliar with the language that was spoken during the conversation. He was at the second half of the story at that point, but he kept on flipping the pages quickly due to anticipation. I wonder... Who will fall in love with the guy? I don't know yet, but I'll keep on reading... It's fine, but I want to read something else afterwards... Nothing could stop Yuki from reading the story, but he stood up and went back to the Fiction Section. He didn't notice anyone else on the way, since he is too focused on the story. When I'm done, I need to put the book back. Otherwise, I'll be getting weird looks...

Shutdown sequence initiated."Ah well," Logan shrugged, "Worth a shot, I guess. Thank you, Ma'am." Glancing away from the older women, he watched the other campers spread out through the stacks with interest. In his experience, the section a person gravitated to could occasionally give an insight into their character.
GM: AGOG S4 & F/WC RP; Co-GM: TABA, SOTR, UUA RP; Sub-GM: TTS RP. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire.Hirana browsed through a few of the lengthier shelves to the side. He enjoyed a few mystery novels every now and then, though much of his time was devoted to his studies and his football practice. He took his time leafing through whichever cover title caught his eye, passing over the plainer ones. After picking through over a dozen mysteries, he settled on an old leatherbound one, titled;
The Commonwealth
"Hmm, this could be nice."
Yuki was done with the book already, and he shoved it back to the fiction section. He wanted to read another book, so he quickly took another book randomly. He sat down at the table so that he can open the book. This book might be depressing... I'll check it out. A story about the first World War... It might be worth reading it to understand what the First World War was like. It doesn't contain magic, but hey.
Yuki started to read the book, and he smiled a bit, since he is getting some relief from the air.
Shutdown sequence initiated.Taro shrugged, still examining the bookcasses. "I'm usually into fantasies and stuff, but..." He said, choosing his words carefully. I shouldn't lie about my true intentions, but this is not the time to explain... "I'm here to get into the great outdoors and stuff, right? I figure it might be useful, somewhere down the line." Not a lie in the slightest; he did think it would be useful, and he was here to get outside. Of course, he had specific reasons to get outside...

Hey! Read my fanfic: HereKate didn't really know why they were visiting the library but she was glad nonetheless. She was a fast reader and perhaps she could find something to give her a better history on this town. She was also sort of curious as to the Fae but she'd never admit that to anyone.
Overhearing someone asking about plant books, Kate decided to settle for something she was more familiar with.
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaSeto scratched his head. "Huh? How hard can it be? Just don't poke things that don't look like they'd like it, don't eat things that are red or small, and, er..." He trailed off, his brain clicking on the recollection that this was neither the safe woods he knew nor even in the same general area of them, and also that many people had gone missing at some points (if he remembered his parents' worried discussions right).
"Maybe it might be good ta know," he admitted.
"See?" Taro commented, continuing his search, "Besides, I can always check out a more entertaining book, too." While it wasn't his objective, his resolve against such distraction was crumbling. He passed over a few plant books, but wasn't sure which would prove most useful.
"So... The Botany of Japan; Shuts and Leaves of Japan; or Bulbs, Buds, and Botony: A journal..." He said, mostly to himself. The obviousness of any choice over any other wasn't readily apparent, but he didn't want to just pick with no idea. He considered asking the lady at the front desk if she knew what book would be most helpful, but didn't want to bother her...
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereHer extra key forgotten for the moment, Violet browsed the shelves idly and aimlessly, looking for anything that caught her attention. She remembered she'd left a few in her bag, but didn't remember what they were; mostly Smullyan, she thought.
She eventually settled on a translation of Goedel, Escher, Bach, and - with a little embarrassment, though she doubted anyone else would recognise it - a Gilbert and Sullivan anthology.
At this point she realised there was no way she would be able to finish them here, and went back to find the librarian. "Excuse me, Moira-san? May I take these with me?"
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOYuki slowly closes the book he was reading while shedding a tear. I guess... This is what losing something feels... I don't know that if I lose something dear to me... Will I get over it? He stands up once again to put the book back to the shelf. After that, he glanced at a woman... Himiko, if he recalled. Don't know if I want to get involved with her, I mean, she really is cute, but I'm trying to get my number of friends to a minimum.
Yuki walked to the main lobby, wondering what to do. Listen to music? Nah, he would be kicked. Read another book? Hm... Do they have Light Novels? I wanted to read them, to be honest. He stood at the main lobby for some time.
Shutdown sequence initiated. After flicking through a few of the botany books Kate decided that she should probably bring some back to the cabins. Whether she would end up reading them or not didn't matter but then she'd at least have something to do. A book on the Fae had caught her eye, but ultimately her pride won out and it remained on the shelf.
She spotted the librarian talking to that Violet girl and decided to wait a few metres back - no point in breathing down anyone's neck.
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaSeto scratched the back of his head, then noticed he'd done it and frowned. Do I do that a lot? "Why not just look for one about this area? It ain't like the rest 'a Japan, right? So there's probably books and stuff on it. Or magazine articles, at least." Seto wasn't sure if this would be the case- after all, he'd never even heard of this place before going to this camp. But it wasn't like the place was hidden or anything. It was on maps, just in smallish print.
It occured to him briefly that that might be the best way to hide something, but it still wasn't like the place was entirely unnoticed. There would be something.
Violet coughed politely. Maybe Moira-san was hard of hearing. "Excuse me, Moira-san? Would it be all right I take these books back to camp?"
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NO"I'll just ask the librarian... It would certainly be quicker," He said, walking up to Moira-san, "Excuse me, ma'am, but do you have any books on local plants and animals?" He was trying to be polite; after all, people tended to like politeness.

Hey! Read my fanfic: HereMoira shook her head quickly as if waking from a daze and turned to Violet. "Ah, most certainly dear, I'll take those for you, and check them out. You can keep them for the whole stay, if you like." Moira picked up the books that were in Violet's arms then turned to Taro. "Most certainly, I have a local wildlife journal kept by the watch association in my desk, I'll check it out for you." Moira left tot eh check out desk, and stamped all of Violet's books with their return date. She then reached into a drawer and produced a bound hand written note book and stamped it, and placed it on top of violet's books. Moira walked back to Violet and Taro, and handed them their books. "There you go, enjoy!"
Himiko then clapped twice. "Alright, campers, I think it's time we got headed to the rest of town, we spent a little too much time here, so I'm going to have to make the rest of this tour quick."
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Violet smiled blissfully, thanked the librarian, and flipped through the pages excitedly as she turned to follow Himiko. It was already tricky enough to read in English. This was going to be hard...!
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NO

Violet quietly walked through the cabin. She didn't see anyone inside... had he already left? She found Room 2 and knocked on the door. "Hello?"
