Question before I decide whether or not to make use of the free to play opportunity.
How well can the SC2 engine utilize multicore CPUs? I just upgraded from 2.0 dual core to 1.1 quad core with 2.2 burst and am worried that the game will run even worse because of the lower base clock speed.
My old dual core ran the game at medium graphics with a decent framerate. Now, System Requirements Lab says my new rig doesn't meet the game's minimum requirements - yet at the same time, PassMark gives it a higher benchmark score than the official minimum requirements', about 50% higher score than my old dual core and everything other than the clock speed blows my old one out of the water.
If you can run heroes you can run this. Co Op though does tend to end up with massive amounts of units on screen.
...okay, note to self. Mc Afee blocks game updates even with real-time protection off.
Hoped to squeeze the remaining three weeks out of that preinstalled free subscription, but fuck 'em. Better off without that shit anyway, considering that I ran my older laptop for over 5 years with zero antivirus measures beyond UAC and never got a single infection.

Please for the love of god let there be playable Warhounds!
