OMFG. With an entire school of Shippers On Deck, they are still not an item.
Nishikawa's my favorite otaku-type fictional character.
That last page punchline killed me.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Chapter 107 is out.
Red Hawk finally admitted their translator problem. The specialty nature of the book makes it a difficult one to work with.
As for the chapter itself, Hachiken's contrition aside, nothing really jumped out at me.
Except...
Fake glasses.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.… Is this series an experiment for a new stomach torture or something?
Be brave, Yugo and Aki. Someday, you will find a place with no Moment Killer to get in the way.
I only read this manga in French (volume 9 is to be released soon), but I have to say that I absolutely adore it. Not only is Arakawa the greatest when it comes to create an entertaining cast of characters, but the topic hits close to home since I did the preparatory class to become a vet, and am working in ecology right now (and on a controversial topic of ecology that is related to agriculture no less - bear presence).
In a way, these series remind me of Princess Mononoke - but for agriculture instead of ecology. No behavior is shown as "right" or "wrong", the reader has to decide if he sides with someone, and whom he sides with if he does. It does not force you to enjoy or dislike meat, it forces you to think. These works are the greatest ones in my opinion.
That, and the main couple is absolutely adorable. I'm pretty sure Aki would be an uninteresting character if anyone else than Arakawa was writing her.
? I'm pretty sure volume 9 is already out in France.
Or does it come out later in other French-speaking countries?
You're absolutely right regarding Yūgo and Aki though. I don't how Arakawa does that.
(For that matter, the latest chapter shows that these two are definitely "buff and vavoom" now.

I feel like an idiot checking all the pages over for hints as to the date, yet completely missing the calender that said "6 2013" on top.
