Iron Man strikes me as fairly reconstructive, but I haven't seen enough of them to say for sure.

I'd say "neither." For the most part, the movies just play things straight while updating certain aspects for the modern era. A lot of the things in Iron Man, say, that look like they might be deconstructions or reconstructions were actually there from the beginning. Like, e.g., Tony Stark having to deal with Senate hearings, losing defense contracts, and the like - that stuff was all there in the Silver Age, though not in precisely the same way.

Topic for consideration: the recent and upcoming movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Do they have significant elements of Deconstructionism or Reconstructionism to them? Or both?
