There seems to be an issue with changing a custom title from one value to another. Asking Eddie.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Eddie told me that they should all be updated now. No need to resubmit. Of course, you can resubmit any you find that are still wrong.
It looks like the ones discussed in the OP are all fixed now, at any rate.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"If you find it, let us know.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, it's definitely gone. Anyway, once again Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Striker S, Striker S Sound Stage X and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVI E2nd As all have existing custom titles that are not working (they are showing in their articles though). Should I try to resubmit them again? Also, I never got an answer if we're allowed to use ALL-CAPS for work titles that officially have upper-case words in them.

May need another Eddie visit.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"By the way, you may want to edit The Ptitle Replacement System so it doesn't link to the dead threads.
Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist. The request was made to replace 'Strikers Sound Stage X' with the custom title. If you get the capitalization wrong, the replacement won't work. It is not just a case of making the replacer case-insensitive. The text to replace will have spaces in the wrong place.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI'm not sure I quite understand. I'm positive I mode the original custom title request for Striker S Sound Stage X with the capital S at the end and it did work for the article title at least. Furthermore, we have the pages Nanoha Striker S, Striker S, and Vi Vid, which work just fine with those capitalisations. Is the problem the two capitals being next to each other?

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Wait, I think I figured it out. So a page's URL has one true capitalisation - the one with which it was created. Using another capitalisation will still take you to the same article and the custom system substitutes all possible capitalisations of the wiki word, but the links will not get the correct spacing, (even though the system claims they should) unless it's the "true" capitalisation, even if you made the original request for a different one. Since I did not make those pages, I assumed the correct way was with the extra capital S, but I was wrong.
Okay, if I got this right, I have a few more questions:
1) Can't you make the custom title substitution override the spacing, like it does in the article titles?
2) Is there a way to tell what the "true" capitalisation is, when it's not immediately obvious?
3) Is it possible to change the "true" capitalisation by cutting a page and then remaking it with a new capitalisation?

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Eddie, so in other words there's still a problem with Pen Island?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.![]()
You can use the title search (in the tools menu) to see the capitalization the page is saved under. Warning: Doing so can be a bit depressing when you see how little correlation there is between the main page and the subpages when the capitalization is not obvious.
About once a year or so, I ask for a tool to allow some non-admins (preferably the moderators) to change the "real" page capitalization, but it's really such a low priority that I understand why we don't have it yet.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.Right, Strata. Penis Land and Pen Island break differently. I'll test making the replacer remove internal spaces and be case insensitive. I worry about a performance impact. We are running roughly 25 million replacements/day. Adding more operations could slow us down.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty

The page Pokemon Red And Blue shows up in the title and in all links with a capital "A" in "And". However, when you check its Custom Title, it says that PokemonRedAndBlue should be viewed as "Pokémon Red and Blue", with a small "a".
It's nothing major, but I'm confused about the discrepancy between the two in the first place.
Edit: Pokemon Gold And Silver has an identical problem. Does this wiki not like Pokemon?
Edit 2: Nope, same problem with Mario Is Missing.
Edit 3: And with Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story. The ampersand (&) isn't showing. This is quite obviously a semi-widespread problem. =/
