I really prefer Toph. The other guy, it look like chitin or something (kinda look a bit like Cell's body).

Plus, doesn't metal armor...kind of defeat the purpose of the trope?
I'm sort of in-between the Toph and Risho collages. Very similar things happening. It'd be nice if we could get a good shot of armor made out of fire or ice or something obviously not-normal, though.
I have a message from another time...Fire has it's own subtrope though, Wreathed in Flames (which was actually written before Elemental Armor)
I doubt we'll see lightning armor anytime soon, seeing how lightning isn't really a solid force to apply to the body.
Ice armor on the other hand, while incredibly impractical, could be possible.

Well, I know one example of lighting armor.
However, the visuals are just a lighting aura and a shiny yellow coating on the practitioner. Not obviously armor.
I have a message from another time...Hrrm. not looking for lightning or ice myself. Ice tends to just look like fancy crystals. Lightning would just look like some sort of forcefield.
On the sand armor above? How is that even armor? It's like... one millimeter thick... seriously. And sand aint exactly the most resilient material to begin with... Not questioning the image, just that the mechanics are... puzzling.

Because it's anime logic so it works. Also A Ninja Did It.
Apparently someone started on it before I could get to it, so you guys can fill in any other options you want.
