But it doesn't look automatically enough like an element and not like just stylized simplified armour without it.
First one is decent, but the Toph stuff is clearer and it looks more like rock after.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickStylized simplified armour? I didn't know about the show, yet I clearly got it was an armor, made of stone.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeIt doesn't look stone to me. It looks like badly drawn spikey armour done by an animator to lazy to do shine. The rest of the lazy animation shortcuts give that impression, especially with the low quality backgrounds.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI'm wondering, if I were to try to get one good picture of Risho (two-frames or otherwise), which picture/pictures to use between the 6 I posted.
Some of you said you got that it was rock armor as soon as you saw it, others said you needed to see him forming it, others said you needed to see it clinging to his body.
I'd say the last two frames + my preferred pic, provided that you could get a better shot of the second frame, where he doesn't hide his face in his hands.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeYeah, I've seen the show, and I wasn't even sure what was happening in the first two. The third might work, but I'm kinda meh on it.
Infinite Tree: an experimental story"It's obviously not his skin,"
Okay, but I could interpret that as regular armor or a Super Mode or a variety of things. Furthermore, the images you have of him "making" the armor look like he's being attacked.
The problem is, that none of them clearly show the trope. They don't show something that isn't obviously not normal armour, and the creation ones don't look like creation. They aren't good images. None of the Risho are good images.
