To be honest, ALL the Cerebus Syndrome et al pages need renaming. It's underused compared to similar tropes and it's just a bit silly.
I'm seriously beginning to think Cerebus is the new Xanatos. A few minutes of Wiki Walking turn up;
- Cerebus Syndrome
- Reverse Cerebus Syndrome
- Cerebus Ending
- Cerebus Rollercoaster (come on)
- Cerebus Retcon
- Knight of Cerebus

I'm pretty confident Cerebus Syndrome itself is widely enough used outside TV Tropes to be safe. I'm less sure about the derivative names.
Calling in favour of Sudden Downer Ending.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAgreed. We appropriated Cerebus Syndrome from another site, and that one and possibly Reverse Cerebus Syndrome need to stay; the others can go as far as I'm concerned...and this is coming from a huge Cerebus fan.

I've moved Cerebus Ending and its wicks to Sudden Downer Ending, created Laconic.Sudden Downer Ending and Cut Listed Laconic.Cerebus Ending, and updated Renamed Tropes and the FAQ thread.
Given that there is no discussion, we can close this now.

Crown Description:
Previous crowner showed consensus support for a rename.
There is now an alternative titles crowner for this trope here. Feel free to add names as you see fit.
