Aprilla asked me to make him a new pillowcase. I think I am going to surprise him by embroidering this
on it.
Learned two things.
The first - forget everything about crafting requiring an artistic vision. It certainly does, but it is secondary - what it does seem to require in ridiculous amount is engineering skill. Which I lack, but blast it I have to learn fast.
Second - you know you've got serious if you suddenly find yourself using pliers
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonBy special request of my little sister, I was tasked to make a diaper cake.

Impressive!
And here is what I've found myself using pliers for
◊ Specifically, for attaching the clasp. Actually, I did not do a good job - loom bracelets made from freaking Delicas of all things (the most expensive beads, the most uniform in size) are supposed to be completely smooth and flawless :( Oh well, I'll learn
This thing
◊ is rather nice too - a set of simple bracelets in matching colours.
Ok, one question — how many separate bracelets make up "the thing"? is it two fairly wide ones, or a whole bunch of single strands? That would make a difference.
But if we could figure out a way to get a bundle of them over here to me without taking a bath on import fees, I can think of two or three places right now that would be delighted to sell them, (especially the more complicated ones, like the black-and-rainbow, and the black one with the flowers — I've never seen anything like either one of those) and would have no qualms whatsoever in pricing the single strand at 5-7 dollars, and the more complicated ones proportionately higher. And I'm in a smallish city in the Midwest. I bet out Drunkie's way in Seattle territory it would be even higher.

Bunch of single strand - the idea was that the colours go together nicely and every 3 or 4 colour combination is wearable.
I thought of the ways to make wider ones, but that's an experiment for later
And yes, shipping is something I still try to figure out, even in my own country. Should take a class on logistics or something :) But I'll definitely let you know when/if I'll figure out something

If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonLike I said, you find a way to send them to me and I know plenty of boutiques and salons that would let you hang your goods and sell from there. I would be your biggest customer! You're very talented!
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - AszurLooking forward to pictures!
There wasn't any work to do during the last few days, so I've been rather productive. Here's a couple of bracelets suitable for Perky Goth one
◊ two
◊
This kiwi-coloured
◊ one took me almost the whole weekend - not terribly complicated to do, but takes a lot of time. That being said, I'll definitely make more of these in different colours eventually - they are fun to make and, once finished, look extremely "neat" - thin lines, no knots anywhere and so on
And this one [(Simplicity)
◊was pretty much an afterthought after the Kiwi one - took me less than an hour. Very simple, very plain - it is only about 0.5 cm wide - but quite elegant, if I do say so myself.
Lastly, for those who wanted something Byzantine
◊ looking - how about that?

If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonOh yes, you can't go wrong with turquoise. If I'll ever find myself at your side of the ocean I really should send you guys something
And those particular beads are my new favourite - nice texture and pure pleasure to work with. Ridiculously expensive and difficult to buy where I am, but definitely worth it. I've already decided to make a close-fitting collar with similar beads in bronze colour
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in common

I am thinking about putting my stuff on some sites that are basically Russian equivalents, though.
