"Practice? I'd kill someone. Besides, how does scouting out other buildings help, besides preparing for a fight?.....That's the plan now, isn't it? Way to waste my efforts there, man." he snarked lightly. "......How are we gonna get the info out of him? We can't torture him........We could use fear, though. Perhaps theres something I absorbed than can help us there. Something he feels bad about, a family member he has....."
He wasnt sure where to look, so he just went down a random direction. "You're probably better off asking someone else to ask the pirates about other buildings." He began to sort through the governors memories tha he had put into the back of his mind; a little had faded, but most of it was still there. "Hey, sorry you are getting dragged along." he muttered to Medusa. "Buuuuuut maybe you could please make sure we arent being followed? I'm kinda distracted." He said this right before he smashed into a pole. He stood there for a moment, then kicked it angrily while making sure his nose wasnt broken, muttering to himself.

— There was a long pause, then more words were scribbled onto the brooch.

"He could not know it. For it was not all a joke."Their caution, though commendable given the circumstances, was apparently misplaced; as far as Medusa would be able to tell from the use of her keen senses, neither she nor Drew were being pursued by anyone.
In the distance, the sun had begun to set.
The bartender passed Eoin another drink without comment.
"You are quite welcome," the woman replied. "But please, I must know—during your travels, when your vessel took on several extra hands, was one of them a young girl, by any chance?"
She was still smiling, though a note of anxiety had crept into her voice; it appeared that this question had been weighing on her for some time.
The Danse Macabre CodexDrew threw his hands up. "Does EVERYONE think I'm a dumbarse?" he sighed. "I can't just go and get the info, dude. I refuse to torture the man, and for all I know something terrible could happen when I try. It's a terrible idea."
..........
........."I still say this is a bad idea" Drew said as he stood in front of the governors home. He took one last look through the man's lingering sins before he proceeded.
.........Unfortunately, most of it had faded. He groaned. "Oh well, time to wing it." He looked over at Medusa, then walked up the stairs and eventually into the place. He warped his cloak off; he wasn't hiding anymore. He walked into the governors room. "I would like to have a word with you." he called over as he shut the door behind him after Medusa entered. Or after himself if she didn't wanna enter.

"Umm... yes, I think so. Why, is she important?" Alfred asked. Absentmindedly, he took a small, round stone out of one of his pockets, and rolled it around in his hand.

"So that's clothes and supplies...what to do next? I'm not due to meet the others for a while...I guess I could check out that smithy. If it's true that he knew my parents back before things went crazy, it's worth visiting..."
Inari hoped Regg would catch the cue. She didn't have parents, obviously; it was the fact that there was a connection from before the Cube.
"He seemed to know a lot about swords, too. He could tell so much about my sword..."
Inari stopped her monologue there, leaving the rest up to Regg's reasoning.

While doing so, he concentrated on Sunny's filet, sliding it down the ring finger of his normal hand and enclosing it in said appendage's palm. If the situation called for it, he would attempt to ensnare the Yuki-Onna for interrogation.

Inari was on the way out of the town by now, discreetly heading for the forest.

The woman paused then, concern mixed with mild frustration flashing across her face for a brief instant; she composed herself a moment later, though she was no longer smiling.
"If this child is who I believe her to be, then she matters a great deal to me, my good sir. If it is at all possible, might I be allowed to see her? I desperately need to know..."
A narrow path meandered aimlessly through the forest before Inari, leading her deep into the woods; the calls of birds and the droning chirps of cicadas filled the air, the only sound save for the occasional whistling of the wind through the branches and the crunch of her feet against the dirt and gravel of the path. After several minutes of walking, the kami would be able to glimpse the unmistakable profile of a classical Japanese mansion through the trees off in the distance; this tile-roofed domecile looked as though it had not seen proper maintenance in some time, for plantlife grew over its walls and across the roof in abundance. Despite this, however, the estate seemed remarkably intact. The Danse Macabre Codex
"I am sorry, ma'am," replied Alfred. "I am not her parent, nor her guardian, nor the captain of the vessel on which she stays, at the moment. I am unable to help you..." He paused. "I can try and intercede at your behalf with the leader of the group, but I am afraid it will not do much good - as I have said before, I have only recently joined them and do not consider myself a part of it, and I imagine that they do not, either, except for two of them."

"Yep."
"...it's a nice house."
"Very nice. If we weren't travelling, I think I would have stayed here for a while."
"But isn't there, kind of, someone staying here already?"
"Details, details."
"Right, right...so...what now? A new disguise?"
"Yes, good idea. I have just the thing."
With her next step, Inari transformed...into her favourite fighting form. Her long white hair was in a flowing ponytail, and the white kimono embroidered with flowers and foxes was back. The sword was in her red sash.
"Bwuh?"
"If this is a trap, they already know too much. If it's not, I won't dishonour our host."

"I would like to know about your superiors and your forces on this island." That's what Regg wanted, but Drew didn't see any point in those questions, so he then asked for what he considered usefull information. "And the location of Tiamat's hideout, or someone who knows if you don't."
Drew kept his face impassive, calculating. If he didn't know, he would need a way to capture the guy he had talked to earlier.
"Also, what do you want with a little godling girl?"

Inari smiled. So, he was seeing sense?
"You mean like in physically reinforcing it? Steel cap, barbs, hidden blades, that kind of thing? Or do you mean a weapon to use together with it?"

He strode over towards the woman, relaxed and nonchalantly enough to make it difficult to notice what he was focusing on, but close enough that she and Alfred could hear him whisper. He put his mouth up to his glass, pretending to sip from it.
"Come outside. We can talk about this somewhere with less prying ears. Single-file, a minute apart. I'll go first."
He downed the rest of his drink, returning the glass to the bar, filled with the coins he had in his pocket. Directly afterwards, he exited the bar.

My name is Cu Chulainn. Beside the raging sea I am left to moan. Sorrow I am, for I brought down my only son.-For lack of a better thing to do, Robert had gone down from the boat and was currently on the beach, in the process of collecting a heating the sand to turn it into glass, his power providing the heat, and his alchemical abilities dealing with any of the problems a normal glass-maker would face in his position. He wouldn't, necessarily, be able to explain exactly what he was doing, or how he knew what to do. He purely acting on gut instinct, and it seemed as if Vulcan himself was more in control than him for the moment-
-He'd already completed two sections of the glass covering for the amazon (which sat cooling in the shallows, inside a small pool he'd built to stop them floating away. He was well on his way to completing the rest of it. But while he was working, new schematics and new designs that he could use for the glass blossomed out in his head. He was still acutely aware that he lacked anything useful as a weapon. As soon as he had finished with Sophia's armour, he was going to start rectifying that-

"And who, pray tell, do you think you are to be entitled to such information?" he demanded, his jowls quivering with what was either suppressed fear or naked indignation. "I had already agreed to give you the means to access the Empress' fortress as payment for your services even though I am loathe to depend upon an assassin like yourself, but now you go too far. If you think I am going to let you alter the terms of your employment after an agreement has been reached, then you are sorely mistaken; leave, now, before my magnanimity wears thin."
The woman seemed confused and a little concerned by Eoin's rather secretive behaviour, but nevertheless she did as he had instructed; a moment after the silver-armed Inheritor had left the establishment, she rose from her seat and calmly walked out the door, making her best effort to appear composed and nonchalant.
As Inari entered the grounds of the overgrown estate, she would be able to hear the faint and distinctive 'doink' of a shishi-odoshi coming from somewhere on the grounds. The wizened old fellow from before sat within a small room near the outside of the house; the sliding doors were open, leaving him perfectly visible to anyone approaching. He seemed to be busy practicing some form of calligraphy; were Inari to approach, she might notice that the seemingly-unrefined forms of his writing corresponded to the styles of the Muromachi period.
He did not react to the kami's presence, at least not initially; whether that was because he was oblivious or was simply intent on finishing this text was not clear.
The Danse Macabre CodexDrew wondered vaguely how he had managed to recognize him without his changed appearance, but no matter. He placed a protective seal on his chest and head when he saw the man reaching for something, hardening his head, neck, and torso. "Hold still for a moment" he muttered to Medusa and drew one on her stomach as well. "Protective charm" he explained.
He turned to the governor. "I'm afraid the deal has changed; I'm no longer working for you. I'm hear to get than information......." he drew his sword "one way or another." He had no idea what the man was capable of, so he made sure there was something he could dive behind in case he had a deadly weapon. Or was a deadly weapon. His voice betrayed nothing but iron, though.
—If I can scare him enough, he should give up the info. Probably. Hopefully.—

As the Japanese maiden made her way outside, she'd find Eoin around the corner, making his location clear by smacking the bricks of a nearby building with his silver hand.
"My apologies, madame. I have reason to suspect that there were people around who may have abused this information.

"Yes, sometimes, but you aren't human. Having working parts fully exposed isn't practical. I could, if I really wanted to, probably cripple you by jamming a stick into your gears. But you'r eon to something with the glass. I can probably cook something up, especially since we are on a beach."
