The Taotaomona aren't really much more than guardians of the jungle than actual deities. If there are actual gods around, then they would be directly subservient to them, but not directly outright. The ancient Chamorros, of whom the Taotaomona are based, were very tolerant of differing opinions and wouldn't hesitate to share, but were very strongly affixed to their cultural pride and react rather negatively towards oppression or unjustified action.

Their schtick is more to just chill out and deter any would be trespassers or defiler of their land. If there was a nature god, then they would wordlessly do his/her will, as long as they were asked politely.

Balor:Hmmm... Maybe someone sinister to add to the team.

We're definitely going to have changing seasons, even without weather gods. So when it comes time for Fall...

Frog: Huh? It didn't appear on my thread watch list until a few minutes ago. Is the fora bugging out again?

Also: Now I have the mental image of Balor eyebeaming every individual leaf from the trees.

Recommending heralds of seasons: noted. Beyond yours, Colonial, which is an obvious choice, I'm not sure who would go where. Suggestions welcome, I'll edit them in.

Dave: noted, will edit that shortly.

Is that a good thing?

Actually... Guess that depends on whose temple it is.

Something just hit me: depending on the levels of Jerkass present, we may see the screwed up relationships found in the Greek Pantheon.

Also: Now I have the mental image of Balor eyebeaming every individual leaf from the trees

A giant crests the horizon, glaring at the treeline, face twisted in rage and possibly constipation. Suddenly dozens, no hundreds of beams shoot out from his eye, and from hundreds of yards away accurately snipe every leaf off a tree! As his gaze sweeps over the forest, a veritable lawnmower of lasers come forth, and within minutes, foliage is no more! The giant stalks off, looking for his next victim...

The giant is subsequently buried in cooked, dislodged chestnuts, which pop after a few seconds.

See previous page, I had a chart that outlined a potential 'final pantheon' containing all the characters based on their old god-essences. I was hoping I wouldn't have to re-arrange or re-allocate overlapping responsibilities because I'm a lazy bitch

well the way I see it, Anubis is the god of dead bodies and their souls up until they get to the underworld. Then they are Hades'.

So he is a sort of shepherd or guardian of the dead? It then conflicts with Hermes instead of Hades, but is easier to reconcile if I want to bother getting creative.

Oh who am I kidding, of course I want to bother. I was about to create another silly piece of crap which organized all characters by age separated by gender, out of sheer boredom.
