Correct me if I'm wrong, but Michigan's statehouse and state senate is run by Democrats right? Along with a Democrat governor and a large percentage of what they send to Congress are Democrats right?
Then why are you trying to pin Michigan's bankruptcy on Republicans who effectively have no power over the state?

Now, I know nothing of economics, and I know nothing of the relative benefits (or lack thereof) of giving big tax breaks to businesses like this.
What I do know is there is a line - a line past which you can't really call yourself a democracy. Let's forget all the issues of raising tax from poorer people and relaxing tax for big business. Let's instead focus on the part of this bill which allows this guy to happily remove elected officials and replace them with whoever the hell he wants (even companies, should he so wish), the part which allows these people to merrily take away your trade union rights, all done under the pretense of an "economic emergency".
That fucking crosses the line.
Honestly, Britain's government right now really ain't any great shakes, but jesus, when I see stuff like this it makes me so very glad that our politicians haven't gone quite so all-out batshit insane yet.
When I see this, I don't even see this as an economic issue, this is an issue of basic democratic freedom. Fuck.
Plus the Republicans own the house
, and the the Senate
. So yes, you're wrong.

Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.EDIT: On the other hand, that video isn't biased at all.
Anyway, I need to look into this topic. Like I said the video seems militantly democratic (as in the party) and I don't know if what I'm getting is the full truth.

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.Okay, I just lost any of the good will I had for republicans.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? Here's the equally biased but in opposite direction article.
Still looking for a neutral article...

it says it's passed in the senate but not the house or am I reading this wrong?

Yup... Looks like Michigan's republican folkel have crossed the line from everyday villainy to cartoon supervillainy.
There's no way in hell this should be able to pass. But knowing the crazy crap that goes on in politics today...
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.
