I reported something similar on Ask The Tropers a few weeks back. It seems to be a glitch, as while all my pre-existing watchlisted discussion pages disappeared, any new pages I watchlist get the Discussion page added like they used to.
I never got an official confirmation on that, though.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!I think I've had the same problem, plus the orange dots aren't showing up for new items on my Fire Fox at home.
I'm having this problem as well. I apparently started a new thread which is locked.
The orange dots aren't showing up for new things, and the discussion pages are there but don't get rid of the orange dots after looking at the page. However, discussion pages are only there for YKTTW I've launched.
Fight smart, not fair.I had a topic in Wiki Talk that got locked and forwarded here. Basically all the discussion pages have disappeared from my watchlist and am just checking if that's still the problem, which apparently it is.
Unclouded TJ: Taking Bunny-Ears Lawyer too literally. It was said before (I think it was in Ask The Tropers) that the discussion pages come back if you drop and re-add the items to the watchlist which is true... but seems to only be true temporarily. I've already had to drop and re-add the pages I watch that I care about the discussion page for twice.
I have a slightly different problem with discussion pages now. The current policy is to create work pages in media namespaces and leave a redirect in Main. For such pages adding watch for discussion is next to impossible, because you can't access Main since it's a redirect, and adding any other namespace doesn't add the discussion.
I suppose you could edit the redirect out, add watch and put the redirect back in, but that's just insane.
Would it really hurt to allow adding watches to discussion pages independently of the main page?
The state of TV Tropes. For me, watching pages in alternate namespaces adds the discussion. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ok, now this is weird.
I tried adding some random articles and apparently it works. Except for the one I'm actually trying to add. What's more, the "You are watching..." counter goes up by two, but the discussion entry is nowhere to be found on the list. What gives? Maybe it's because the article was just moved today (discussion was moved too, though)?
The state of TV Tropes.Probably someone needs to actually edit the freshly moved discussion page for it to show up on your watchlist.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

I don't know if this is a glitch or an intentional change, but it's still rather annoying. Without having the pages on my watchlist I'm not likely to look at them
