Yeah, I've been writing my own original work for some time now, and I had posted something about it before, but this time it's for the story aspect.

I just finished another chapter, and I realized that I had put in a lot of words for the Orc's language, when I really don't have any rules set down for their language in the first place. Another problem when it comes to writing by the seat of my pants.

Anybody willing to help me out?

Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.

I'm not a linguist, but this page ([1]) is a VERY extensive guide on language construction.

Have fun.

Would you kindly click my dragons?

Tolkien's plan for languages: Quenya applies Finnish syntax and is the cultural equivalent of Greek; Sindar apples Welsh morphology and is the cultural equivalent of Latin. Orkish applies Turkish grammar and is the cultural equivlent of chav innit? Dwarvish is Hebrew. Hobbitish is Anglo-Saxon etc.

You have already written some Orkish words and you need to build the Orkish language upon those principles.

In my Game-World: Orkish = French, Dwarvish = Welsh; Hobbitish = Gaelic; Elvish = Latin; Goblin = Mexican dialect of Spanish; Hobgoblin = Castillian dialect.
