Thinking back, this show had some potential. Now, it's all wasted.

The story/plot could have gone like a classic Mahou Shoujo tale.

When Timmy was miserable, Cosmo and Wanda appeared. They would have granted him wishes, but some would grow out of control and make and they would try to fix the problem. Then, a lesson would be learned. One that Timmy WILL remember.

Cosmo and Wanda could also not only fill the void by parenting Timmy, but try to get Timmy's real parents to spend more time with their son.

Vicky is her usual bitchy self, but then we look deeper into why she's so mean-spirited.

...or something like that.

Yep, I'm still here.

SH! You know Butch Hartman doesn't like mature thinking with his shows!

Well, he needs to change, as well.

That's the problem with him ans Seth Macfarlane. They both really do have what it takes to make a serious show. So, why don't they?

I had the same idea, but with a Tuff Puppy comic, with more focus on Madame Catastrophe.

I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D

Not coincidentally, Butch Hartman and Seth Mac Farlane are good friends.

"Mahou Shoujo"

"mature thinking"

...

Anyways, how would you extend such a series for more than one season?

No. Just... No. If I wanted anime storytelling, I'd watch an anime. Fairly Odd Parents is perfect as is, a great comedy cartoon. Taking it in that direction is Completely Missing The Point of the show.

And Channel Chasers and Wishology had some interesting themes. I mean, the former was about outgrowing childhood. Nothing special, but it was done rather well if you ask me. Note also, it was a TV special, not an episode.

[up][up][up] Your opinions lost all value when you said "a great comedy cartoon".

It's an annoying stock collection of overused, gratuitously mean spirited and tiresome jokes that were funny the first three times.

The idea of a sympathetic Vicky is appealing, but it'd be very tricky to develop correctly.

I never really watched this show much. Overall, it entered into this bizarre condition where I thought of the show as being unfunny, except for the episodes that I watched.

At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...

Shows like this don't need rebooting.

Fairly Odd Parents was mainly a test of time. Sure it was pretty funny in the first couple of episodes if you grew up in the early 2000s, but after it started getting formulaic (ie Timmy wishes for something stupid, can't reverse it, find loop hole and exploit it) it just got really bland. And then they added the baby thing, which just made the show weird.

Instead of rebooting the series, I'd like to see a Spin-Off featuring Mr. Crocker. He's pretty much the only reason why the show is even remotely engaging today.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.

The show can get pretty bland, but I thought some of those specials where great.

It seems trivial, but if they ever DID reboot a Butch Hartman show, Guy Moon should be fired. His music is so...repetitive...

Don't you know?

A reboot can not save this series. It is far too late.
