As a Linkin Park fan, I have to say that aside from "Breaking the Habit", Meteora is a worthless rehash of Hybrid Theory and deserves to be chucked into the garbage in favor of its vastly superior predecessor. Also, it's their only album without any b-sides, so that's another point against it. As for the topic at hand, I know what you mean. When checking out new artists, I usually download one album and don't bother with anything else regardless of whether or not I enjoyed it.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Right now I'm averted to anything Textures other than their debut, Polars. It kicks much ass.
Same goes for Mnemic, I only truly like their debut. They tried too hard on The Audio Injected Soul to pander to the mainstream crowd, and Passenger is half decent but I prefer Michael Bøgballe.

Pendulum's Hold Your Color. I dunno, it just feels like the later songs are more... watery than heart-pumping.
Yes, I like Pendulum. Watcha gonna do?
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudInteresting, Hold Your Colour is my least favorite album by them, possibly because it's their most "pure" Dn B album.
Because it's similar to more traditional Dn B affairs likeAK1200 - At Close Range, and DJ Dara - The Antidote.
Best DNB CD ever though is Dieselboy - System Upgrade. Screw Roni Size.

Not directed towards me, but that is an insulting insinuation. Even an identical sounding album may not have the same appeal as one someone likes, as demonstrated by the OP.

Have you considered the possibility that pagad's opinion is rooted in experience instead of ignorance?

I have some artists where they put out one album I really like, but I find the rest of their music output uninteresting. I am never sure whether to say I like that artist or not.
For instance, I really like the Linkin Park album Meteora but I don't like anything before or since.
I wonder how common it is for people to be fans of only one album from an artist. I know that Yes get this a lot, due to their propensity for making New Sound Albums.
