Come to think of it, I like Punctuated! For! Emphasis! a lot better than simply Punctuated Emphasis.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.
That's a REALLY good suggestion. The first time I came across Punctuated Pounding (or was potholed to it) I thought it was something of the same as Punctuated Emphasis (obviously I found it wasn't after reading the article, but I digress), but Punctuated! For! Emphasis! is exactly what this trope is about.

It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think!Does anyone else have a major problem with the 'normal room talking voice' examples? When I think THIS! IS! SPARTA! i think of it said in Gerard Butler's tone, not Christian Bale's. I'm more all for a culling/split whereupon TIS only for the bellowing-from-the-mountaintop. If the meming is such a problem perhaps changing it to one of the earliest examples.

I don't think there's any real difference between the two besides volume. Not splitworthy.
+23 (yeas:33 nays:10) 3.30 : 1 Rename (or swap for a redirect) This! Is! SPARTA!?
It does look that way. Crowner locked, let's move on to the next question: What to rename it to?
I think we're looking at renaming it to either Punctuated Emphasis or Punctuated! For! Emphasis!.
I like Punctuated! For! Emphasis!.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think!
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.

This really does need to be swapped with it's redirect.
