Joshua: I'm glad you thought it through. Well, in either case, onwards! -pushes forwards, making the sword vanish in a flurry of stars.-
-The ground begins to feel a little slopped as it goes upwards somewhat, with tree-roots laying across the path along with the occasional rock, making it a little harder to keep balanced. The branches above weave together rather elegantly, making very little sunlight shine down as they continue forwards.-
-As for Kris, illuminating the area with the card reveals a large pillar made of the same color stone as before stand in front of him. The path ahead is covered with branches, yet is still completely brick. The sound of footsteps can be heard very faintly, too.-
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.-The slope eventually comes to a stop and levels out, yet it's fairly dark and hard to see. Wren casually pulls out a torch and shines it around, revealing stone pillars, covered in vines and a small path which continues further ahead to something obscured by shadows that even the torch can't illuminate at this distance.-
Wren: ...Huh.
Joshua: This was certainly unexpected! -laughs a little-
Sig: ...Yay?
Lisella: ...
-The footsteps stop, although Kris can probably hear the voices even though he's a fair distance away...-
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Kris: ...Eh?
-He listens to the voices, using his cards to amplify the volume enough for him to hear it clearly. He checks on the card he put in Joshua's backpack to get an idea of where the main group is, and where they're going.-
And it's so easy when you're evil... This is the life for me, the Devil tips his hat to me...Wren: Sure looks like it, huh?
Lisella: ...Uh, keep that away from the treessssss...
Sig: -blinks and swings his net, likely catching Hal in it- ...You're not a insect.
Joshua: Hm...
-The fireball provides a little more illumination, barely outlining something akin to a wall made of stone up ahead. As for Kris, the voices certainly belong to the group, who seem to be a distance away from a large wall which seems to loom over him.-
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Wren: Probably. But, hey, not like it'll be that bad. Just as long as there's no giant boulders.
Joshua: Mmm...This certainly brings back memories.
-The flames reveal that, well, there's no trees nearby, this is mostly a clearing, with what appears to be remains of broken walls and vases. Moving closer, the wall seems to be part of some sort of building that's still standing. A shrine, perhaps?-
-As for Kris, merely turning around, he can see it's indeed a shrine of sorts made out of stone...yet there's stairs that lead down into the darkness.-
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Joshua: Hm? Oh, no. I haven't been here before. I'm simply reminiscing on that I was an adventurer once. I haven't been here at all.
Wren: ...Time to move on, then? And, heh. Best to be careful, then.
Lisella: ...
-The shrine looks like it's been abandoned for a least several hundred years. It's surprising it's still standing as it's starting to crumble a little in some places.-
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.
