If Lenneth had as many votes as Zelda and kept the same ratio (with that number of votes, quite likely), she'd be winning by around 10 or so.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyBoth the Lenneth and Zelda ones are easy to mistake for her being in front of the crystal instead of inside it. An image of either where the reflection of light off the front of their respective crystals made clearer that they were inside would be preferable.
As for the Lenneth one winning, give it time, that could change.
^The reflection on the sides of the Lenneth crystal is pretty clearly in front of her arms.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyLenneth? Isn't that Silmeria? I vote for her. Equally good as the Zelda one, but good for variety and was rendered better.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I actually preferred the first Zelda picture. The fact that Link is there not only firmly puts her inside the crystal, it also sets up a scene that emphasises the trope. The princess is inert, unable to reach out to her hero who holds out his hand against a screen in a pose we've seen a dozen times before but without the crucial touch of the other hand against the glass. The Prison Visit of Crystal Prisons.
On the other hand, the Silmeria picture might have a better pixel rate and texturing but they did an awful job of a physical sense of the third dimension. It looks flat, it looks almost like it's just a superposition.
The jagged growth at the bottom doesn't looks like its the same crystal. To me, it looked like there was some Power Glows thing happening at her feet and that her pose is "person trying to summon" spell rather than "trapped in crystal". The hands out like that work when being chained or crucified, if you're in a crystal better to have them frozen up or stuck in an unnaturally stiff position.
Also, you know that effect where the crystal looks very plain in the middle but more reflective on the edges? That's because when you look down the middle you are at 90 degrees to both the front and back surface while the other edges are not only at an angle, the one at the back is at a different angle, and you're also getting scattering from other edges and so forth. It is not because the graphical artist has wrapped celophane on the sides.
Look at this
◊, this is meant to be what they were making. I think doing a superposition of a little 28mm figure in that would be better.
In short: the first Zelda pic does more with less, the Silmeria pic adds but it adds mistakes.
According to the VP Wikia, it's Silmeria.
Good point, but we'll wait. I can see that pic doing well.
Disagree the Silmeria is better constructed crystal wise, much better texture wise and Zelda looks like a 2d crystal with very bland textures.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well if Silmeria were to be dethroned I hope it's by the one SSOT mentioned, not the runner-up, since that one actually has something different going on. The runner-up, seems to me, features the exact same things with inferior visuals and a dubious advantage of being purple.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. The blond with the high poly count is winning. I don't care what her actual name is.
Fight smart, not fair.Funny that the crowner doesn't actually put the one with the higher ratio on top in case of ties.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman."Hmmmm...Silmeria and Zelda are tied for votes, but Silmeria has a better ratio. This has been going for a while now, should we call it?" - Willbyr
I would expect those supporting the Silmeria one to actually refute SSOT's criticisms of it before calling this.
