The Knight just reformed, is much more heavily armed, and Ciel's taken a few hits. I'll only allow a finisher if it kills Ciel. =)

It's been fun.

Then Ciel will have to support another character to enable a finisher :V Technically speaking, she's mostly taken major armor damage and has just finished recovering from the shock and blunt-force damage of a Shield Bash, which has greatly-diffused force and does less damage that it looks like at first glance. Also, fragments of her armor-pads are lodged in the Knight and impeding its mobility and interfering with subsequent teleports on risk of self-telefragging.

In theory, she could take advantage of the gunshots from Alicia and the polearm strikes from both Sachiko and Rei to create an opening to crush it with a massive kick. That'd only work if the Knight's aggro has shifted from her though, so it'd be safer for her to keep its attention on her and let Alicia soften it up more, since Sachiko and Rei are about to finish it off for her.

Her helmet is still intact mind, since the force was centered on her torso and not her head.

... I'll just ask you one question.

Are you trying to dictate the Knight's condition and abilities for us?

That is all she needed. That is all... Her dreams of seeing the world have become her strength, and lifts her wings.

No, But since Ciel was hit at melee and her armor shattered, it stands to reason the armor shards would have ended up in its face.

Point conceded.

...Hmmm, does that mean shards of Ciel's armor are still scattered in the sand? There might be something she can do. Can a Magical Girl break her own equipment down to recover energy? She might have an ace in the sand here.

No, But since Ciel was hit at melee and her armor shattered, it stands to reason the armor shards would have ended up in its face.

Yes, and I let that one slide because I doubt I would have thought of it otherwise. But:

Also, fragments of her armor-pads are lodged in the Knight and impeding its mobility and interfering with subsequent teleports on risk of self-telefragging.

I'll ignore the first half because it's still acceptable, but who gave you the permission to dictate how the Knight's teleportation works, hmm?

Regardless, I'll give you this: Unless Red Savant disagrees, the Knight can teleport without any risk of self-telefragging whatsoever; limitations on it are currently and will only ever be dictated by Savant and I, and will only be influenced by the players at our discretion. If you have any suggestions, feel free to raise the point as a suggestion, not a statement.

Also:

has just finished recovering from the shock and blunt-force damage of a Shield Bash, which has greatly-diffused force and does less damage that it looks like at first glance.

I'll give you the "diffused force" bit, but the Knight is very specifically not human, and is not limited by human constraints. "Less damage than it looks like at first glance" can easily be more than sufficient damage to shatter every bone in Ciel's body. I will not actually rule that Ciel has every bone in her body shattered (note: I could do that, very easily), but I'll say that Ciel is now at least moderately injured, and should (at your discretion) act accordingly.

Don't make me dictate Ciel's condition any further. I've currently handed the Knight reins to Savvy since I've brought Rei back into the battle and would prefer to not autohit, but I still possess the power to take over at any moment. If you have a problem with my rulings or with my current attitude (because I will be quite harsh sometimes), bring it up with Red.

EDIT: I didn't see you guys post while I was typing.

But she was backhanded with a shield...

The Knight has no armor shards anywhere in or on its person.

Anyway, Ciel is currently armor-damaged, so she won't be willing to melee until she regens and recons her armor.

I stand by everything Mid's said, incidentally. I encourage players to suggest negative effects on Demons, and while I can't help but sound a bit full of myself, I pride myself on having been very accomodating thus far. Please don't take that as open license to attack as you will, though.

For the sake of combat, I am hereby declaring Knights as player-character combatants. This means that all rules pertaining to player-versus-player combat now apply to Knight battles, including autohit, autokill and crippling rules. Hits must be telegraphed in posts to allow for a response; autokills and cripples are not allowed unless it is worked out in advance with the player (in the case of Knights, either Midreus or I can rule on Knight autokills/finishers/status defects). Non-GM player characters will be afforded all the rights of yellow-level combat, meaning that hits will be telegraphed for response and fatal attacks will be afforded one post of leeway.

Well then, would Alicia's called shot:arm have any impact on the Knight?

I'm planning for Ciel to take advantage of the chaos to slip a potential strike through where Sachiko left a spear stuck in whil the Knight tries to guard/counter the three-way attack inbound.

Rei, Sachiko, Alicia and Ciel are the only ones who are still fighting. Everyone else can and should feel free to start acting on their own.

Except Vera who's waiting on the Civilians.

And Nazuna, who's been momentarily decapitated /latetotheparty

That's easy. Ciel's long-term goal is to outlast the campaign and get home. Since apparently difficulty is rising, teamwork will be key since all the Demons she fought before this weren't as tough as the Knights she's encountered.

To some point, she has a couple of side goals: Make sure Alicia survives and remains friendly with her, and get her shopping and holidaying done if possible.

I found this blond head that I ca...oh wait, wrong head. *toss's Mami's head replica offscreen. An explosion is herd.*

Unless we have some tape to make her Nearly Headless Nazuma, Headless Nazuma will stay headless Nazuma for just a little longer...I assume. They're the good girls after all.

-=-=-=-=-

I'd PM Red then ask everyone, but I think doing this is ok...

Do you all still want Yasuko join in? Or should I just start over with another character? I had Rios, a second character in the works that involves Yasuko (like Alicia and Rei). She can easily function without Yasuko's existence, but someone else will have to become her enemy. ( Red,

)

(Speaking of, Mid, since you got promoted, If yall say yes to Yasuko, I do gotta let you in on what's going to happen (unless Red want to keep it a surprise))

As plotted before, "Rescue Yasuko" would be that someone hears Yasuko's thoughts, then comes in to rescue her. They may come to regret that.
Essentially since what was happening before never got off it's feet, we just pretend it didn't happen and start over when one of the cast hear Yasuko's mental call.

Ragna, I apologize, and I hope I haven't hurt your feelings by saying this.

Question: Would the energized rails that Ciel projects for grinding on absorb or cut the projectile? That plasma shot sounds like it will impact with Ciel's rails, so she might have to jump off it and project a new set.

How much energy are Ciel's rails taking up, incidentally?

They're quite low consumption, due to the way they are projected from the bluen flames/sparks that blaze from the wheels of her rollerblades. She uses a lot more energy when Boosting or charging up of powerful armor-busting kicks.

How tight is the curve of the projectile? Will it circle back and become a danger to the shooter? Also, would they damage the rail sections the pass through?

Yeah, no problem. I'd understand if the timeframe is too short, it's just that there's been a lack of activity and I'm wondering if I can pitch in.
