The whip lashed and struck true... however it once again bounced back on the unseen barrier of the Magical Girl. The armored girl smirked under her helmet as she crashed with Chien, the weight of her armor adding to the impact.
The two of them fell down with the armored girl on top, who didn't lose any time in grabbing for Chien's neck with her left hand as she lifted her mace with the other. At this distance her brown eyes were visible through the slit of her helmet, as she stared at the other girl straight in the eyes.
"Game time is over now" she said as she gripped her neck a little more tightly "I doubt that even if you are one of those annoying regenerating ones you'll be able to recover from a bashed head. Now listen carefully cause you'll be spreading the word. You really don't deserve it, but I'm doing you a favor. This city is now mine, together with each and every witch in it. You and the rest of the magical girls can rejoice and go back to your normal lives... because if I see you transformed ever again you won't get off as lightly"
With that the girl suddenly releases Chien and steps back from her a couple of steps, mace at the ready.
A storm of icicles flew at the armored magical girl, freezing their surroundings.
Yukino was breathing heavily from a building high above them. Just in time...
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Chien looks up at her.
"Or not," she says coldly. "You may be able to ignore my whip- but even you will feel this."
She lashes downwards with her legs where the chains were stuck in the ground. The roof shuddered beneath them at the blow.
"You think you can intimidate me? Sorry. You're not even close to being able to scare me."
She kicks downwards again, aiming to collapse the roof beneath them.

There are too many toasters in my chimney!"Ungh!"
The armored girl didn't expect the sudden attacks, neither the surprise one or that her victim would rise so quickly back to battle. The cold went straight into her, making the girl shiver as she took hasty steps backwards. However her balance was compromised when Chien started to hit the ground in an effort to break the floor they stood on.
As quickly as she could, the magical girl with the turquoise soul gem jumped back towards another roof, turning and breaking an icicle blocking her path with her mace in mid flight.
You aren't getting away that easily!! Yukino screamed into the armored girl's mind. Yukino launched several massive icicles at the girl, following up with a storm of smaller expanding ones again.
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Faced with the icicles the girl swung her mace with all her strength, batting them away from striking her directly, though still large chunks of them crashed all over the the black haired girl's barrier.
While at the end none of the icicles struck her directly, this attack was enough to distract her from Chien's attack, which made her lose her balance completely and fall on her side to floor.

Chien looks the girl in the eye.
"Don't just think you can come in here and claim this as your own," she warns the girl, before dragging her to the edge of the building.
"And lookey here. I guess your Magi abilities will come in handy after all."
Chien releases the girl, pushing her to the edge.
And don't come back.
There are too many toasters in my chimney! The girl falls from the building, spinning in midair to land on her feet with a loud crash. The girl grabs at her neck and coughs a little before looking up towards Chien for a couple of seconds before she runs from the scene.
The sirens of ambulances and the police can be heard heading in their direction, probably to handle things after the mess the two of them left behind.
Beeeeeeeep.
In a dim lit, sparsely furnished apartment, Shizuka popped open her microwave and took out her food, some leftover takeout (delivery, actually) from the day before. Scooping it and some rice out of her cooker, she put her dinner in a small plate and took it with her to a low-set table, where the glow of her laptop's monitor waited.
Absentmindedly, Shizuka ate her meal as she made her way through a video website. Recommended videos... With a click, click, click-click, she quietly watched all manners of things - clips of her favorite anime, brief travel documentaries, stage magic. She loved stage magic, especially trying to figure it out. She wasn't good at spotting the tricks they used, but working it out was fun, in its own way.
Getting up, her eyes crossed paths with a photo of her parents, lit up by the computer's glow. She looked at it for the briefest of moments before taking her plate to the sink, pouring herself a glass of water. Taking a drink before sitting back down in front of her computer, she sighed and began to look up pictures of all sorts of exotic locales around the world.
In the back of her mind, quietly, in a voice so meek that not even its owner could hear, Shizuka thought, There's no point in me doing this... what am I aiming for?
Bah. A whole lot of nothing with no pay off and poor management of characterization. Ugh, "tomorrow" can't come sooner.
Chien jumps down off the roof into an alley, and sends her whip and dress away. They would be the most telling features if anyone were to spot her.
She casually strolled out, still ignoring the blood leaking down her back fro the concrete chunks.
She stood to the side, waiting for Akira.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I had to go back and reread what Akira was doing earlier. Embarrassing.
"Nothing through here either, huh?" Akira muttered, frowning at her Soul Gem. There had been a bit of a commotion a few blocks over from here, and her Gem had lit up a bit, but apparently it had been nothing more than a store roof collapsing into itself. Why that would make the stone flare up, Akira didn't know, but it had actually put her in a bad mood. Heroes weren't supposed to wander around the city, periodically being blinded by the setting sun, and wasting valuable homework (or let's be serious here, reading) time. Not to mention that Mom would be getting home soon, and she'd need dinner after work, and Ayumu would be coming home for the weekend, so they'd have to clean out all the stuff that had migrated into his room... Akira barely noticed when her Gem suddenly flashed almost white, a split second before she rounded the corner and ran bodily into the girl from that afternoon.
Last post from me tonight. Good night/whatever time period you're currently in, folks!

It's been fun.Even though Yukino had already fought once that day, she'd still insisted on going on a witch patrol the very same evening, and faced with the prospect of either letting her go alone or come along Kiyohiko had grabbed his practice sword off the wall and disappeared into the streets of Imaizumi with the magical girl.
The night had begun quietly enough, but of course, the moment they had deliberated going back Yukino's Soul Gem had picked up something. Guided by the curious radiance, the two had raced across a few streets and up several flights of stairs only to witness something different from a witch entirely.
Chien, the magical girl they had met earlier that day, and another one Kiyohiko didn't recognize were engaged in a fierce battle and making rather a mess while at it. The unknown girl in particular didn't seem to take much care with her gigantic mace, freely reshaping the buildings they fought on with it. Yukino had swiftly intervened on Chien's behalf, hitting the stranger with her icicles and giving Chien the edge she needed.
Kiyohiko leaned forward and rested his hands on his knees, panting away his exhaustion. From between his sweat-stained locks he could vaguely make out Chien tossing the alien girl off of the building below them. The girl landed safely, but appeared sufficiently discouraged from the battle and swiftly disappeared into the alleyways. Kiyohiko let himself relax and closed his eyes.
Kyubey, are you there?
No response. Fairly unusual for the creature not to be around when something like this is going on. Kiyohiko stood up straight. "Yukino, do you—"
"I don't know who she is", she answered swiftly. "But I can tell what she's here to do."
Kiyohiko gave her an imperceptible nod and turned to look at Chien. It took him a moment to find her; she'd leapt off the building and undone her magical girl transformation. "We may have to discuss a strategy with—"
At that moment yet another girl suddenly appeared from behind a corner and slammed right into Chien. The two were too far away for Kiyohiko to make out her features, but her ridiculously ornate dress and a peculiar glow on her hand told him all that he needed to know.
Kiyohiko stood silent and motionless for two full seconds, without even a hint of an expression forming on his face.
"—with the two of them, I guess."
Herp di derp. I don't think Soul Gems have been used in the original series to detect other magical girls (using magic or otherwise), but I guess it works. I just wonder if they can tell it's a magical girl and not a witch, since apparently Kyouko at least can identify individual witches by the "pattern of their magic".

Please be gentle with me.^^ I was just going for a general feel of 'magic is being used, therefore the gem is reacting a little', though nowhere near as brightly as it would for a Witch (until Akira is standing right next to Chien).
"Oh, sorry," Akira blurted out, dropping into an apologetic bow before Chien's words registered. She blinked. "Wait, you were looking for me?" She let her Soul Gem mist back onto her collar; she wouldn't get any readings from Witches with Chien standing right there anyway, and her arm was getting tired. "Uh, I'm Sasaki Akira. I'm not sure we were introduced this afternoon, but... thank you. For saving Na... Haruna-san and me from the Witch."

It's been fun.Chien nods. "Yes, I was."
She hesitates, unsure how to phrase her warning. She wanted to warn them away from becoming too involved- it would be better for their health and wellbeing to stay away from Witches.
"... Stay away from the Witches," she says bluntly. Bluntness was usually the best way to go. "They're too dangerous for you. Leave it to us experienced Magi."
She internally winced. That had sounded much ruder than she wanted. But still, if it got the job done...
There are too many toasters in my chimney!"I'll learn, right?" Akira replied, shrugging. "I've been practicing a bit with my powers, and I feel pretty confident... at least, with the theory," she admitted somewhat sheepishly. "Kyubey told me the basics about Witches, though, and the Witchspace we were in this afternoon didn't seem so bad." Something else Chien had said registered with Akira, and she frowned. "Anyway, it took you and Yukino-san long enough to kill the Witch back then. You don't seem like you're that experienced to me, sempai." The last word had a very faint twist to it.

It's been fun.Yukino casually walked up behind Akira. "Then let's see how well you do, Akira-san."
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.Akira turned around, startled by the sudden appearance of the other girl. "Ah! Oh, Y-Yukino-san," she managed, taking a small step backward. "I didn't hear you come up..." she trailed off at Yukino's expression. The white-haired Puella Magi obviously was in no mood for games, but rather than be intimidated, Akira felt a hot, sharp bubble of defiance rise up from somewhere deep inside her chest. "Okay, sempai, then let's do it," she said. "What do you want me to do?"
Back in half an hour; it's go time.
It's been fun.

Chien lashes forward with her whip.
