Sluggard and Eltenios finally made it to the beach, where Sluggard headed into the lab's entrance. A Grotle met them at the door and led them to the gym where a Rapidash ran on a treadmill. Sluggard spoke up.
"Oi. Scurry."
The Rapidash looked over. She looked between Sluggard and Eltenios. "Oi boss."
"I want you to take Tubbs here under your proverbial wing. He's very heavy, so don't try carrying him. I had to for several blocks."
...and that's terrible.Eltenios greeted the Rapidash too.
"Hi..." he approached closer and smirked. "Sluggard says you could teach me a fire attack... would be very honored."
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Hamlet walked past Kori, motioning them to follow. "Right this way."
He led them through a series of corridors before finally opening the door to a large room. There, a Blaziken and Gallade were cooking. They greeted Hamlet warmly and allowed the group to anything on the various tables that was done.
Striker followed Hamlet in, warmly acknowledging those that he had sparred with earlier. Feels like so long ago...
Soon enough, the group arrived at the food tables. The Mienshao's eyes widened at the sight of the varied delicacies. And I thought I had good food at my house... "I don't know where to start," he murmured faintly.

"And he gave them the information that you wanted him to give," Lucario replied. "Though why you couldn't have told them that..."
"It was better for them to find out on their own. They've been the movers and shakers in this city. Destroying the Claws, all but invading the Spook Brigade's headquarters..."
"But what to do about the group that has taken over the Thorn Gang? The Blades, they call themselves."
"Simple. We remove them."
"How? With them? They've been through enough."
"Not just with them. Their group is growing."
"But what of all the gang members? They can't fight through them alone."
"We contact the Flame Gang. A friend of theirs is the leader. We give them a few days to recover, then we move."
"And if it fails? If something unexpected develops?" Lucario said, looking at Absol out of the corner of his eye.
"Then there will be nothing left of this city, even with every gang working together," Absol replied. He looked at Lucario. "I'll go look for the Pignite in charge of the Flame Gang. Cinder should have arrived by now. Meet him and tell him that he'll be working with them soon."
"Of course," Lucario said. "Good luck."
Absol nodded and leapt off the building, the Dark-type outlined in the moon for a moment before landing on another building and running off to look for Flint.
Hamlet walked past Striker, ruffling the Mienshao's head before grabbing a plate and starting to pile it with food. "Just take one of everything. That's what I do."

Striker chuckled. "That sounds fine to me. I could always use a little more diversity in my diet, I suppose."

I wonder what's up with Kori; she seems awfully quiet.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Eltenios followed the Rapidash closely thinking what would he need to face the bugs and come out better than alive. He gave a last aside glance to where Sluggard was setting of to practice on his own.
"Damn... should have notified the Congregation. But I don't think they're exactly missing me at this point... after all, the package was delivered..."
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Kori nodded. "Yep, and who I just went to see. Well, actually I talked to Leo instead of Gallade, but that's beside the point. Anyway, when I first met him and agreed to work for him, he was a nutty goofball. He tried to be dramatic and failed constantly. The only reason he kept his agents and wasn't the laughingstock of the whole city is his assistant, a Hoothoot named Tuft. But recently, he's been changing a lot. He tries to be dramatic and pulls it off. He looks and acts dangerous. The only reason he didn't kick my butt when I told him I was out was because Tuft told him I was just going to be working undercover here, in the Fight Gang. Tuft and Leo are covering for me at meetings and stuff, and Tuft's dad Noctowl offered to help me get out of working with him if I wanted, but I'm not sure if I want out yet."
She shrugged. "So yeah, that's pretty much all I was thinking of."
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Kori cocked her head, thinking. "I think... we need to train before taking them on, if we do take them on. And we should get help. I met this Hydreigon when I went to find Paul, right after you left, after the Claw Gang raid, named Tatsu. He says he protects 'mons. I think we should find him, and see if he knows anything."
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!

So he had a hand in this with Absol, too? Striker nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Lucario. That's sounds wonderful right about now."
