There is no requirement for a Tsundere to be brave and optimistic. A type A can be snarky and cynical and still count. She's just not a Plucky Girl. In fact, I'd hazard that most of them don't come anywhere near the idea of the Plucky Girl 90% of the time.

Yeah, I'd actually say that Tsundere and Plucky Girl, while not entirely mutually exclusive, are highly unlikely to be seen in the same character.

The lead in Tsundere seems to imply Tsunderes, by definition, are also Plucky Girl— at least Type A Tsunderes. Does that mean Tsundere is a subtrope of Plucky Girl—or, at least, I don't need to put Plucky Girl in a Tsundere character's trope list for her tsuntsun side?
