So, from what I gathered, they have the anti-sellout philosophy where all/any profit from making entertainment is a bad thing. Entertainment is still work. Scripting, filming and editing reviews take time. If you're willing to do entertainment for free, you're free to, but most people want to be paid for their work if only from ad revenue. The BS idea is, that doing art for profit will lead to rushed work to reap profit, but what I've seen from many people, doing art for free leads to Schedule Slip and eventually just quitting.
Now, if you don't like their work, and feel they're proofiting from hack work, yeah, I know artists and entertainers who make a livelihood out of shit, but I don't mind. If someone is willing to pay for it, they're free to do so. It's not money away from me if someone buys a CD I don't like. And no, this isn't "don't like, don't watch", it's "if you're not losing money, don't complain about other people making some".
And I love how TV Tropes is just a TGWTG circle jerk + incest entries. Yep, that's the entirety of the site.
@AHR: Yeah I should've put "anonymous white knight" in quotes there. Was more taking it directly from what they said than anything. For the record, I've got nothing against Kob. Nice guy that's capable of valid arguments.
I'm just more pissed about BS's response, which basically boils down to "We don't need defending, especially from some nobody." They basically don't care if people call them assholes because they'll just mark all of their haters as "TGWTG circle-jerking tropers". I would call them a troll site, but I tihnk they're too serious for that. So they're scaled down to hate site. And as the pic said before, haters gonna hate.
Have they responded to the less-than-welcome greetings Doug received at Cartoon Brew?
I love how they're going "Oh, they said mean(sorry, M 33 N) things about Asalieri we will never be able to forgive them".
Kill all math nerdsSorry, man. Here, have a festive kazoo and a Birthday Boy hat. *offers*
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!You know.
This situation makes me sad in two ways. 1 is of coure that BS just acts rude about it and doesn't even try to create politeness. 2 is that I'm a huge fan of Hell Fire Comms. They support BS. Now I'm sad.
@Jeff: Yes, I go by Bo K over there, if you're intersted. (Yeah, quite clever of me I might add).
Wow.
What I want to know is why they have obsessive stalkers going on TV Tropes to figure this all out.
Also, this comment.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.So, they go stalk Spoony in his own town but we are the obssessive ones?
But hey, they're the ones who run away like a bunch of heartbroken high school girls when confronting the entities they claim to hate so much, so whatever.
Now, I don't wanna scare anybody, but, how come Ko B hasn't posted a response here?
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.I'm here.
Guys, I really do apologize for bringing this storm on. I really thought BS wouldn't take the trouble to actually search this site and post a screencap, the last time they did, I assumed it was because Asa brought up that incident here a few months ago.
Ah well, just me being a clueless idiot on the internet I guess.
Trust me, this ain't a storm. This is a combo pack of interesting discussion and lulz.
Read my stories! And feel free to criticise TGWTG all you want, so long as you keep the same tone. Linkara is everyone's bash boy lately, it seems.
Read my stories!Regards to Linkara. Personally, I like his reviews more than Doug, and I did enjoy certain parts of the Mechakara arc. Not to mention, he doesn't seem nearly as much of an ego-maniac compared to Spoony.
The Lord Vyce arc, however, I just felt was a rather pointless fanfic of self-indulgence. Not to mention, his own ventures into writing comics...let me just say, they leave a lot to be desired.
Okay I may get a lot of shit for this but considering I had an account at tv tropes at one time, I figured I may give at least MY honest opinion.
Hello everyone, how've your days been? How's that fetish fuel wiki coming along? I always wondered what would convince someone to post about what anime character gets them turned on? Imagine if some of your real life friends or even family saw that and figured out you got off to Lucky Star. Can't imagine that being pleasant.
But I digress. You guys claim that we have no evidence backing up our claim that this site is the #1 source for TGWTG circlejerking outside of the site itself and 'we're just a bunch of trolls'. Welp, here's my evidence.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitlevw4odugo
Why the hell does this have a page? Give me one good reason why this page should exist and convince me it's not circlejerking to TGWTG.
Also Ko B, what gave you the idea to do this?

YO YO YO! U CANT C ME! BOUT TO SPIT SUMTIN STOOPID!Gerpy: My friends know what I enjoy. I make jokes about it. It's great. Besides, even the fetish fuel wiki as guidelines and an ettiquette system.
And it haves a page because someone made a page. Wiki magic and no such thing as notability and all that. It has tropes to be applied to it, so it can have a page. A lot of them too. No wonder they made a page separate for it. It's what we do. If that's circlejerking, the entire site is a circlejerk.

Read my stories!Well, I can only guess, but I think it might be because people like seeing their favorite personalities in this kind of epic adventure, plus the plot looks interesting. I'm not really the best person to answer this question, since I don't watch Lord Kat's site.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great

The responses to Ron's comment are the funniest thing ever.
I can't stop listening to this
