How quickly do they age? Obviously slower than we do, but if they can live up to 100,000 years do 100-year olds look like children?
If you want to avoid overpopulation problems (which would definitely show up with guys who live that long), you could have cultural pressures against more than two kids.

I've been throwing around ideas for this race for awhile, but this is probably the first time I've ever bothered to write down anything like a comprehensive explanation for what they are. So here it is. Any criticism is welcomed as is any gratuitous praise of my immense genius (as if
).
The Home, in a basic state, are bipedal mammals that are largely identical to humans. Average height 5'9" to 6'3". They eat more or less the same things as humans, though tend more towards vegitarianism. The Home are obscenely long-lived, with a maximum life-span of 100,000 years. However, most Home commit ritual suicide on their hundredth birthday for religious reasons.
Home are monogamous. Family is not extremely important to them, but they do place a high value on it. To the Home, romance is considered more or less a happy bonus to marriage. If they have it, great. If not, nothing lost. Home children are typically born in pairs. Single children are uncommon but not unheard of. Children tend to stay with their parents for their entire lives, though it's also common for them to join another family when they marry.
In Home society, there are no predefined gender roles beyond childcare. A man or a woman may take any job so long as they are capable of performing it. The most common job is farmer.
The Home are extremely sedentary, it is all but unheard of for them to leave the valley where they live and they are largely ignorant of the outside world. Home Valley is one of the few places in the world where Lilly of the Valley flower grows and this plant is regularly consumed by Home as it is incredibly addictive and the main reason they never leave.
The Home are natural shapeshifters, able to alter the formation of their biological cells at will and thereby change their appearance, form and even gender. They can alter any single part of their body or their entire body in any manner they see fit, but this ability is not widely used among the Home, who prefer to maintain a single form.
The Home are ruled by a group of Elders who are exempt from religious suicide, and therefore allowed to age past a hundred. Even so, those Home destined to become Elders are marked by extreme ambition and are not above killing eachother to get ahead. As a result, the lifespan of an elder is actually shorter than most other Home.
The Home were created by the sun goddess Bothar, who also happens to be the goddess of change. It is in her name that the Home commit suicide at their hundredth birthday. It has not gone unnoticed that the typical Home lifestyle is extremely at odds with what she represents, but no Home has ever been known to comment on it.
