Either way, I'm just doing Shadow. I already went through Sonic Gens years ago and considering my thoughts on the game... Yeah, I have no incentive to do it again. Also going through it again would mean I'd have to beat the atrocious Time Eater fight again.
No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!I mean, I'll play both. I loved Sonic Generations up until Planet Wisp, and I'd rather not play it on PS 3 again. If I only played just the Shadow parts of the game I feel like I'd be spending 50-60 dollars for half of a video game.
(3) If it makes you feel any better the time I spend playing Shadow Generations will be cutting into the time I spend on college and getting myself out of poverty.

Really? Its not even that noticeable for You Can Do Anything, unless you listened to them side-by-side, I guess. I assume it'll be a lot more noticeable with Cosmic Eternity.
...That, or its a relatively minor thing in the first place.
Anyway, finished Sonic 1 in "Story Mode." Oh, wow. 2 cutscenes. Brilliant story.
Nah, I kid.

Okay, one major problem I have with Origins is the way it handles off-screen objects. In the originals, you didn't have to move an object far offscreen for it the game to act like its not there. Likewise, an object wouldn't spawn until it was nearly on screen. Enemy attacks and obstacle movements were made with THAT in mind. Now, though, enemies and objects can spawn earlier and stay spawned longer. This leads to issues, like missing patterns at high speeds that normally they were made to accomodate. Leads to a lot of cheap hits and deaths that you wouldn't get in the originals.
Also, is it just me, or are the physics of Sonic 1's Special Stages and 3's Slot Bonus Stage WAY different? Like, you don't interact with walls the way you used to? Or am I imagining that?
Anyway. Super Amy!
Ah, and here we get to the replaced Sonic 3 tracks. Never listened to them in full before.
Carnival Night Act 1 is fine. Was never a huge fan of the original, so if anything, this is just a lateral movement.
CN Act 2 I actually really liked. I think its actually an improvement over the original's.
Ice Cap Act 1. oh... Well, its was always gonna be rough replacing one of the best tracks in the original game. But its hard to call this even good. It sounds like something that should be in one of the Sonic Advance games, honestly.
I... Honestly can't even tell what the difference is in Act 2's rendition. Thank you for overriding the music, Super Theme!
Launch Base Act 1.. While I certainly can't call this superior to the original, I kind of like it. Gives me a Wing Fortress vibe, which makes sense with the Death Egg looming in the background. Pretty good.
LB Act 2. Oh! This song's pretty neat. I actually really like it. It gives me vibes similar to Death Egg Zone (the Sonic & Knuckles one) in the first part of the song. The middle section is a little bit weird - More like something you'd hear in a Special Stage, but still good. And then a little bit of panic crescendo at the end before the songs loops.
Overall, the replaced music is honestly mostly fine, to actually pretty good in its own right. Ice Cap is a big disappointment though.
Edit: Oh, interesting, we're doing Big Arms even though its Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I'm fine with this - Knuckles does it, after all.

Launch Base Act 2 actually has more in common with Hydocity (Velocity) Zone, since it's the part of the level with water in it.
That was neat to learn.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. They have their fair share of Fake Difficulty due to Tails and the bends making it impossible sometimes to see what's coming up, but I still prefer it over special stages with gimmick controls like Lost World 3DS.

I found a good, sad fanfic
based on the bad ending of Sonic 2 for Game Gear. Tails doesn't die but he and Sonic are both roboticized.
