A thought occurred to me earlier tonight:
What if the reason why we're seeing Chaos Island in Shadow Generations was because, at some point after Sonic Generations, but before Shadow Generations (did they establish when Shadow Generations takes place or have they been coy about that?), Shadow was exploring the Starfall Islands for some reason?
Maybe he randomly remembered Emerl and thought "hmm, perhaps these islands can give me an idea as to where that strange robot came from."
Speaking of Emerl, that clip of the Shadow miniseries meant to tie in to Sonic x Shadow Generations, it apparently showed Shadow getting a premonition of Maria getting killed? Dude has never had sight beyond sight before that clip, right?
EDIT: Nah, ignore all the crossed off stuff. Turns out Shadow Generations is supposed to take place at the same time as Sonic Generations. Somehow.

Considering the nature of the White Space, it's not a stretch to assume there's some Time Dilation or something similar happening.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."One would hope.
Because that's awkward.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I wonder if this new Generations release will include a cutscene that introduces Classic Tails as well as reactions to the stages after Chemical Plant.
Yeah, he does kinda just appear out of nowhere, huh?
No idea on that myself but hopefully.
Are explosions science?Personally I'm more hoping for Frontiers and Forces music. Namely the cyberspace and titan themes and the music used for the avatar stages, Mortar canyon and arsenal pyramid.
Like don't get me wrong Shadow has a lot of songs associated with him, but I'm expecting those to a be a shoe-in because if that.
Oh and I'd like them to add Evil Foundry to the list as well.
Will that means he's gonna rock the place?
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Radical Highway (as it's own level), Sunset Heights from Sonic Forces, Chaos Island from Sonic Frontiers

So, Sunset Hill and Chaos Island are coming too.
I guess that means a time displaced Infinite is bound to happen.
Can Flynn and the Gens staff redeem this guy during his boss fight? You make the call!
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I hope not.
That's too gratifying.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. While Sunset Heights increases the possibility of an Infinite fight, I'm not quite sold. Other than Black Doom and Biolizard, Sonic Team seems to digging outside the box for more boss fights, hence Gizoid and Metal Overlord. They make sense in retrospect, but before I doubt there were on anyone's radar.
Sonic himself is 100% gonna be a Rival Battle though.

No a REAL swerve would be...Boom Shadow as a rival fight, with THAT boss fight being the impetus for Shadow to start looking inward and start being a mature goddamn 50 year old instead of a punchline.
Yeah its a blatant joke but it ends up having some of the biggest impact in the series yet.
