A small price to pay for a Zombot Froggy.
Anyway, I asked an AI to summarize Pariah's video. Basically the same thing I have heard a dozen times already regarding characterization, except that the first arc is bland, and how Flynn's writing appears to lack nuance or meaningful themes. At least I got something new out of the whole damn thing with this community.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. This guy goes into what he felt was stylistically/tonally different about Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity:
It's not really negative. Just discerning. I like Zero Gravity and he's criticizing it by pointing out things he liked better in Riders.
I always felt like ZG was somehow substantially different from the first game. Beyond the gravity mechanic. Despite how much I hated Riders because I could never beat that second stage iwth Tails in the jungle, I kind of liked the mechanic of managing your air and using air currents for drift. Zero Gravity abandoned that to make use of the Gravity Dive - which helped me substantially. My claim to fame in this thread will always be playing this game religiously for an entire summer and clearing the 200 soemthing side missions to unlock Super Sonic.
???
That's the second track, and a quite easy one?
Riders is basically getting huge jumps so you can pull off tricks, so you get more air when you land, so you can go faster to get those huge jumps, all while using the shortcuts your character type can use. And drifting on turns so you can exit them with a speed boost.
No...the 2nd race is decent.
But the Knuckles race is way harder.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I think "Second stage with Tails, in the jungle." would be Green Cave, the fourth stage, not Splash Canyon, the second.
I could see Green Cave being difficult - There's a lot of alternate paths, and not necessarily a lot of jumps on which to keep air up. And if you aren't good at getting max height on jumps, you'll miss the quicker route near the end of the track - which the CPU usually won't.

I remember beating all four first stages fairly easily as a kid, but then coming undone at Sand Ruins. And then when I managed to beat that, I hit the block on Babylon Gardens until I got lucky.
And then I beat the first five stages of Babylon Rogues' story real easy as a kid, and then get stuck on their version of Babylon Garden.
I finally managed to beat both Riders and Zero Gravity for the first time in succession last year, starting over from scratch for the former.

The Xbox Live backwards compatible version of Generations has been delisted.
From the way he talks it sounds like it wasn't an issue on Sega's end but the Olympics'. Sounds like they weren't interested anymore in giving Sega the license to use together with the Sonic and Mario characters, and instead want to give the license to someone else to handle in whatever way they're looking for.
Well if true, then that means Sega can stop focusing on the Olympics with Mario and Sonic, and start focusing on the true crossover event we all have been waiting for…

ah yes toys from the darkest and most horrific arc in the comics so far, a genius idea
