I'm not impressed so far. But considering it's adapting some of my least favorite Sonic games using present-day things that I also don't like, my opinions are definitely biased.
- The ARK stage still looks like an expanded version of Forces and Cyber Space's "large platforms linked by grind rails" level design, although considering most of the ARK stages in SA2 and Shadow had "small platforms linked by grind rails" level design it's probably a "pick your poison" thing. At least there don't seem to be any 2.5D segments.
- I'm not sold on the aesthetics either. The ARK was very vivid in SA2 and still had some color in Shadow. The muted color scheme here reminds me a bit of Egg Gate from Forces. Radical Highway (?) is a bit too heavy on the Red Sky, Take Warning for my taste, but I think it's trying to be reminiscent of Shadow's first meeting with Black Doom so it fits. The Alien Geometries are a neat twist though. A Journey to the Center of the Mind maybe?
- Kirk Thornton's voice is frequently drowned out by the music, but what I did hear still sounds awkward. Not "You got this Sonic"-tier, but there's something about it that seems...forced? Meanwhile, I think they overdid the reverb on Black Doom's voice.
- The Biolizard fight looks pretty good. I'm happy they didn't do a 1:1 recreation of the boss I fought 20 years ago.
The background music drowns out Shadow and Black Doom, so it's hard to get a make of them.
The Biolizard looks gross. Extra years have really helped sell its prototype nature.
I need a loop of that Radical Highway remix STAT.
Too early to make a real judgment on this though. Biolizard was really the only part that showcased the most of Shadow's gameplay.

Two of Shadow's result screen animations.

...weird that one of the animations is just him collecting his own emblem.
Weirder, even, is that the animation of him collecting his emblem is not for the "S" rank.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Full Ark level S rank.

EDIT: NVM
How are people finding out about the full boss fights and stuff so early?
There's some kinda "Bonus Play Station-Exclusive Prologue Animations" on the website...seems kinda sketchy.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Heck I'm waiting for Silver's own game.
I like games with telekinesis (or I guess in Silver's case psychokinesis, which is apparently something different)—they got cool physics, cool visual effects...
But I wouldn't know who would be Silver's enemy. Sonic fights robots, Shadow fights aliens...
Maybe Silver fights interdimensional invaders? Or is that just aliens with extra steps.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayEggman Nega, but he controls a secret society of evil demons who are messing up the Sonic timeline and Silver and the Avatar from Forces have to regularly stop them.
Apologies for the double-post but Sean Chiplock has confirmed it ain't him as Black Doom either
, though he does acknowledge that his impersonation/inspiration was spot-on (ie. Noob Saibot)

From what I saw:
1. The Ark seems to be an amalgam of The Ark, Final Chase, and Space Gadget. Possibly some Lost Impact in there too.
This is BIG because it suggests Shadow the Hedgehog’s canon route is either semi hero or pure hero at stage 5.
2. City looks like an amalgam of Radical Highway and Westopolis via time bending shenanigans.
3. Biolizard has taken some serious design cues from Shin Godzilla. Either form 2 or form 3.
What's that make the Continuity Cavalcade in Frontiers then?
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."

That's what i'm asking myself too — it'd be cool but something tells me no, it's only exclusive to this game cause of Black doom awakening it himself and shadow will lose it at the end of the game or something.
Speaking of, according to Iizuka
— Shadow's stuff is a separate campaign that can be accessed at any time
