Saw a tweet reminding people that Rail Canyon/Bullet Station is a significant stage for Shadow, since its when you first encounter the evidence of Shadow androids. And a connecting tweet that Kingdom Valley also makes sense, since that's where he met Mephiles.
Obviously don't know how many levels Shadow's game is gonna have, but they are trying to do some story significant ones where they can.
Pretty sure Ian Flynn?
But speaking of Mephiles, someone noticed that Shadow's Open-Zone Hub has weird purple sections,
not dissimilar to the ones seen with Mephiles...
Generations using time shenanigans as a pivot to using one-off villain to create Shadow's own Rogues Gallery is a nice move, I must admit.

100%, especially with Frontiers re-emphasizing a penchant for Broad Strokes continuity.
I'm curious if Professor Gerald's diary will mention Emerl at all. Until Frontiers, Battle was a go-to game for me for lore references (and a compelling story/gameplay).

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice....it actually sounds like Sean Chiplock doing his Noob Saibot voice. If its him I'm gonna fuckin laugh.
