I can understand the opinion, but ever since LSMARK did a whole video whining about Lost World aesthetics I'm inclined to never take his opinion seriously. He joins the ranks of Characters-In_Depth in Sonictubers to never take any opinion seriously.
And Pariah is already reaching that category with how uninspired the Colors review was. Then again, haven't watched any video of his ever since then.
And oh joy, Amy discourse, like we needed more of that. Let's just say Murder Amy was good and be done with it, I sincerely don't want more essays telling me how the god awful era of 2003 to 2005 is somehow misunderstood or underrated, or how original her following Sonic around when I never found any of her executions good.
I freaking get it, all this discourse is giving me is a migraine because we already went through the same nonsense with Shadow and Tails, but Amy is worse just because she is a girl and every point about her tackles topics that I shouldn't be even be thinking about in a Sonic thread.
Rant over. I sincerely dislike Lsmark.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Hold up, Sonic Dream Team is a game about Sonic and his friends entering the dream realm?
...
...Sonic literally goes to the dream world with his friends and we still don't get a Ni GHTS crossover?
You're leaving my money on the table Sega.
Don't want to be a negative nancy, but Ni GHTS hasn't had a game in years.
Chances are they just don't care about it any more.
You ever notice how Sonic games have less dialogue than Mario games?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'm still sad Dream Team didn't bring back Lumina, Illumina, and Void. But Raem is cool too!
The Protomen enhanced my life.![]()
No? Sonic fully embraced dialogue while Mario has been largely minimalist still.
There are exceptions here and there but that's the general rule.
You are not alone.Ignoring text doesn't suddenly make that not dialogue.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. An accurate observation, but the same sentence could apply to Blaze the Cat, Cream the Rabbit, Big the Cat, Silver, Jet, Classic Sonic, or Classic Robotnik.
Sonic games have had Nights references quite a few times. I don't see why Dream Team had to introduce another new friend/entity for Sonic and co. instead of just using Nights who already has an established fanbase/setting that works well with Dream Team's premise.
They gave Nights a cameo in a game about freaking aliens but didn't do it for the dreamworld game.

I don't even know how much money a handful of additional downloads of an Apple Arcade game would get Sega, but it is a wasted opportunity for a nod to Sonic Shuffle.
My musician page
I'll clarify what I meant; I'm not entirely sure the way Dream Team is monetized means Sega would see any meaningful increase in revenue.
I'm going to be frank: I'm against the idea of Nights being part of Sonic's continuity. Let that adorable jester be its own thing. Not everything needs a Shared Universe and I'm sure Sonic Team has too many problems already in their workplace to worry about another IP of theirs.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. No, Sonic Dream Team is exclusively (at present) available with an Apple Arcade subscription. Apple Arcade has no microtransactions.

My musician pageIts possible that Apple paid Sega (or helped finance) to develop Dream Team specifically so they could have an exclusive Apple Arcade game. Or timed exclusive at least.
An investment to act as a carrot to entice new subscribers. I was somewhat tempted.

Personally, while Dream Team was what got me to subscribe, I found there's a lot of great games that make keeping the subscription worthwhile. Helps that Apple Arcade games have neither ads nor microtransactions. But I definitely wouldn't go so far as to say it's worth getting an Apple device for if you don't already own one.
My musician pageFull disclosure: I got an Apple TV for relatively cheap in order to play it (I already own an iPhone), but it allowed me to play it on a controller.
And yes, no microtransactions or fees inside Dream Team itself, with an active apple subscription every month required to play. The game is free to download.
I figured a lack of a NiGHTs reference might’ve had something to do with the buzz we got before Dream Team’s release that Sonic Team has been trying to minimize the existence of magic in the Sonic franchise.
Hence the seemingly NiGHTs-esque dream guardian figure in that game turning out to be an advanced, sapient computer program.

Apparently Knuckles can...wall jump in Sonic Superstars.
In a way that isn't very intuitive to find out considering his usual gimmick.
Seems neat, but redundant and not really useful.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah, I'm not sure Ni GHTS would have slotted as cleanly into the Dream Team plot as people think. Every time I hear a suggestion to toss an established character into a Sonic game without changing anything else about the story I raise an eyebrow.

Definitely recommended. It's a fun little experience.
