If that's the case, then I say they should have just let Tee Lopes do the entire soundtrack, instead of constantly swapping between the two.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Or if, get this, they let Jun Senoue actually use non-Genesis soundchip instruments. When he's allowed to cook with higher quality instruments, he creates straight up gold.

Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.Superstars actually had a lot of different composers, but you can tell the Jun tracks right off the bat (and the ones he composed, but got rearranged by other composers). It's Sega's fault though for getting Jun to do the OST when they had plenty of evidence that it was not his forte.
Sega's doing a lot better with the franchise for sure, but they still do a lot of things that make you raise an eyebrow. Like I don't understand why they thought Superstars was going to perform well in Japan just because Frontiers did.
Overconfidence after Frontiers' incredible success?
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Part of it was a general misunderstanding of how certain regions respond to Sonic. Japan has much less attachment and reverence towards Classic Sonic given the underperformance of the Master System and Mega Drive. And putting it against 2D Mario, which the country utterly adores about as strongly if not more than the West? That's just setting it up for failure.
When Sonic 3 gets its trope page, we all know the Maria Casting Reveal is a shoe in for Crowning Moment Of Funny.
There’s taking the jokes about Maria’s death in stride. Then there’s being in on the jokes and having fun with them. Alayla Brown took it to the next level by one upping the fans with the “Body Bag Joke”.

Real shame, cause I was at ground zero for that. The Sonic fandom was collectively in stiches laughing their butts off at the whole thing, so it objectively meets the criteria for CMOF.
On a serious note, we did get indirect confirmation of Maria getting shot being handleded “Hitchcock Style” by the actress herself during that Instagram casting reveal.
I don't know if I like "Hitchcock Style" as way to describe it, because "Hitchcock Style" could mean different things.
Like, when I think Hitchcock Style, I think of his thoughts on Dramatic Tension; Giving the audience information that the characters don't know to escalate the audience's feelings of suspense. The example being having a bomb hidden under a table that the audience knows is counting down to detonation, but the characters don't even know is there.
Apparently Dragon Ball influenced the franchise beyond Super Sonic and the scattering 7 emeralds:
A Sonic 2 designer said that the Sonic and Tails bond was influenced by the Piccolo and Gohan bond, and drew the Sonic pair in the style of those two to honor the late Akira Toriyama.
I'd never considered that Tails was designed to be Gohan but it makes perfect sense.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. Also, Piccolo isn't the one with a Golden Super Mode
I gave in and bought Sonic Frontiers from the Play Station Store for PS4.

I beat that game 5 times. I love it! I hope you end up liking it.
There's a big difference between the Steam reviews it got (it was Overwhelmingly Positive for weeks after release) and the professional reviews. One professional review has an excerpt saying, "There are no redeeming features in this game." Umm... okay? I certainly disagree there.

One thing I disliked about Superstars was the inconsistent OST. It flip flops between Genesis-style music and modern instrumental music similar to Tee Lopes' stuff. Which feels really odd, almost as if the Genesis tracks are placeholders that never got taken out.
