I'm kind of half-expecting Mephiles to attempt a Hijacked by Ganon, so maybe.
SEGA probably knows way more people like Mephiles than Black Doom.
Honestly, I'm surprised Sega didn't jump on the chance to use Generations as a full-scale DLC platform. Just making level pack after level pack after level pack after level pack and bolting them onto Generations's general framework. Like. It's practically built for it.
This big Shadow relaunch is finally doing what they should have been doing for the last 13 years.

I'm not shocked. It's pretty clear that after 06, Sega just lost their nerve on a lot of things. They became very risk averse, hence sticking to only Sonic as being playable. Hell, even this game stuck to that with our choices being between two different flavours of Sonic.
It's only recently that they've gotten courageous enough to give us other characters as playable.
One Strip! One Strip! He QRT'd the Sonic X Shadow Generations trailer with his now-trademark "#KnowingSmile" hashtag.
Dare I suggest he's been tasked to bring Shadow back to his roots?
Oh, and before someone else brings it up: you guys remember how we were dreading SXSG because we thought it'd be developed by some random dev team like Colors Ultimate? One look at the game's Steam page says it's from Sonic Team themselves! Here's hoping that Sonic Team makes the landing!

Im actually excited because base game Generations was kind of an Excuse Plot to go running around classic levels, so I'm curious what Ian is gonna do with Shadow.

My hopes for New Generations in terms of how difficult it would be to add:
- easy: music from Lost World to Frontiers, esp Sea Bottom Segue, Mortar Canyon and the Cyberspace tunes
- medium: 3DS version's levels
- high: Levels from Lost world to Frontiers (Lost World had the issue of the levels being structured differently, at least Frontiers has the cyberspace Levels to pull from. there is also the matter of what characters to use)
I know I hardly ever actually talk, let alone think, of Generations, but I am actually interested in Shadow's campaign. Doom's Eye was quite a surprise though. Granted, I have quite some issues with him, but at least it wasn't Mephiles.
Just gotta pray they're not gonna go overboard with the difficulty, considering what happened the last 2 times (Yes, I know TFH was patched, but still the fact it released the way it did is unacceptable. And I haven't heard of anything like that for Superstars yet, not that it would get me to buy the game).
No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!

It's a straight-up campaign???? LFG
