I take all leaks with a grain of salt. For me, it isn't real until it's officially announced. Not just because the leaker could be lying but also because their information could simply be incomplete, or something could change. Something can just as easily be a lie as something that was true at that point in production or something that a team member wanted to do but never got to.
It isn't real until the company officially comes out and says, "We've passed all the greenlights and trimmed all the fat and here it is, this is what we're making."
And even then, it's still just marketing. It's not for real for real until the final product ships.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yeah I gotta be honest I'm with Tobias on this one. Not all leakers are right or have all the info and the info waters can get very muddy. Granted we did get one DBZ Kakarot leaker who said DLC 6 would be End of Z and he was right but as for Sonic, well I'm just gonna err on "it ain't real til its real." I mean, not all rumours are true despite what some tropes might say.
I mean if its real, its real, sure, but if its real it still doesn't seem like a simple remaster at this point. Shadow plus a bunch of new levels sure seems a LOT for a Sega-level remaster.
Are explosions science? What I learned a long time ago about rumors is to not believe any of them unless the company themselves actually said something because rumors could be false due to not having enough information to go on about the project. Sure, some rumors do turn out to be true, but at this point, I just wait for the company themselves or a reliable source to say something about an upcoming project before I start setting up my expectations.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Something being officially announced doesn't really stop changes from happening...
Like that trailer.

=======
Hopefully Switch owners get a solid playable version, given the mess that was with Sonic Colors. The original game was on PS 3 & Xbox 360 after all.
That's pretty neat. Probably be worth a rental.
Give us an inexplicable Classic-era Shadow, you cowards! I would accept:
- Itty-bitty baby Shadow just like Classic Sonic, the absurdity of which gets called out in-game.
- Literally just a second Shadow, in no way distinguishable from the current one. Because Shadow is 50 years old and has not changed a day since where he would have been during the Classic era. Well, except in one way, which is....
- A stasis pod with Shadow floating in it. The pod is Classic Shadow. Modern Shadow has to lug it around with him in every scene where the Classics and Moderns are together.
I'm gonna pass. I'm not a huge Shadow fan so his content isn't a big draw for me, and I'm not gonna buy the game a third time (PS 3, Steam as part of a bundle).
If it included representation of all the handheld games, then I might.
But for people who get it, I hope they have fun.

Hmmm…
I’m actually of two minds about this one. On the one hand, I’m genuinely extremely hype.
On the other hand, it’s going to be slightly disappointing if the only things added to it are just a few specific Adventure-era bits Shadow was involved in.
It’s like… they confirmed they are actually capable of adding things to the game, while simultaneously confirming they’re not adding any of the stuff people hoped they might add.
It also means even more Modern-specific gameplay when an actual problem with the original game was that the Classic content gameplay got shafted a lot after the first third.
This. That would fix everything.

I'm gonna accept. I am here for Shadow The Hedgehog goodness, because fuck, man, I’ll TAKE it at this point.
Choctopus predicted the future.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.I hope they either make Kirk Thornton redo his take on Shadow, or get Shadow's actor from the Prime show to take over.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."

The leaker is the same one who leaked the existence of P 3 R, as well as ports for P 4 G.
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."
