I wonder what the reception to Fang was with folks. I know I guy who wasn't impressed by him in Superstars as he felt he was too similar to Eggman, as a boss battle on a flying car.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
Fang’s first fight isn’t really seen as anything to comment on good or bad compared to his final fight.
This game has absolutely atrocious bosses.
Boss fights that you can only harm when the boss decides it's time to harm them, huge love of pits and instant death, and super long i-frames post-hit just to ensure you can't combo any hits together and that your Emerald Powers (the only real saving grace) get drained out before they can solo the bosses.
And the few bosses that don't fit into that mold are so incredibly easy to defeat they might as well not even be there (shout out to the Eggman Boss in the carnival stage, where Tails and Amy can just hit him from below repeatedly and literally prevent him from ever attacking).
But apparently Superstar is better than Mania.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I will give Superstars this - after years of multiple games constantly bringing back Green Hill, Chemical Plant, etc, it's very refreshing to have every zone in Superstars be completely new, instead of rehashed yet again. They have similar vibes to previous stages in the series, sure, but they're still all new and have a unique charm to them.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Japanese Sonic Twitter continuing to do the celebratory commemoration drawings this year. This time it's celebrating Sonic Unleashed anniversary with new Eggman art
playing the Sega Dreamcast. Cause he has one in the Eggmobile, as established in Unleashed

And is a gamer too. What ya'll think he's playing today, the Twitter asks.

In less stressful moments, he plays Eggman, complete with narration from Leonard Nimoy.

You can thank its graphics style for ensuring it still looks good even over a decade and a half later. Compare to other games of that era with more realistic graphics that end up looking plain at best and outright ugly at worst because time has never been good to realism.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."One of the Werehog levels pisses me off. It seriously pisses me of.
Chunan act 2, where you have to carry keys on easy to fall platforms.
I sincerely hope whoever programmed that LEVEL WAS [improved for the following games[ BECAUSE MY LORD WHAT A FRUSTRATING LEVEL!
And this is from someone who overall enjoys the Werehog levels (I know it was a shock for me too)
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. For levels like that, they really should give you a form of Edge Gravity, where you don't immediately fall off, but if you don't back up after a second or two, off you go. That way while it's still hazardous, you're not punished if your foot is off by a micron.

I realized what it is I hate about Sonic Superstar’s bosses. It’s the same garbage people hate about Chaos 4 and Iblis 2 (few opprutunities to actually attack) serving as the template for the whole game.
That and Fang’s entire stick being spamming instant death.
With the True Final Boss being centered around exploiting this as its strategy.
I’d rather fight Devil Doom.
